Thanks - Question. I think you posted these last year. Are these the opening lines that some independent capping company recommends to the Las Vegas books. I will assume these cold be adjusted upward or downward based on camp and perceptions. Can you give us a context on the basis of these lines? Thanks in advance and good luck this season.

LH, I think you have MR confused with another poster who posted a " Preview Line ". CG Technology ( Cantor Gaming ) operates sportsbooks here in Las Vegas and I 'm assuming that since they're posted , that they are bettable numbers. I think I'll cruise by the Palms tomorrow and check them out.

Thanks for the clarification. I think Cantor operates books at few places including Hard Rock et al. I think several will move between now and Aug 15, but overall they seem reasonable. Your thoughts?

LH, Haven't gone over them thoroughly yet. There seem be a few possibilities there. I did not expect to find much in Week 1 that fits my risk profile. so if I can scare up 1 or 2 gems in week 1, I'll be pleased.

war eagle and Ibetbig - I am with you on both those picks. On the latter, I am interested in seeing what oft injured but highly touted USC tr to Arizona Scroggins will do against the Rebs with Cayleb Jones Tr WR from Texas and other top WR's. Last year Zona ran all over the Rebs with Carey, while this year they will run and they will pass, and they will ''''bitc'h slap the Rebs all the way back to Vegas. I think with Zona's loss of Carey and UNLV rebuilding their D, the betting line will be reasonable in the low 20s. I think Zona wins by 35+ With regard to the Ole Miss Rebels, I think a mid tier SEC team against a MWC team with 1st year coach playing in Oxford, with an experienced QB in Wallace, will in the words of the Waterboy and Captain Insano open a can of whoop as on the Broncos. I think the spread will be under 10 and Ole Miss will win by 21+...

I like Zona and Ole Miss too.
Ole Miss game will be played @ the Georgia Dome, but I don't think it matters.

I like Tulsa to cruise past Tulane by at least 7, and I think Auburn will just go through the motions while Ark will go all out. Also, Georgia vs Clemson should be a close, hard-fought game, so right now I would like ...
