&#xD;&#xA;No.  Musberger was already hosting the NFL Today at that point.  He was already minted.  Jim Rome was hosting an afternoon talk show on a new cable network that showed nothing but hockey in those days.  The two situations are hardly similar.&#xD;&#xA;Musberger does an excellent job.  People might be tired of him because he&#x27;s done the game of the week every day for 25 years, but he is quality.

What I really don&#x27;t like about Musberger is his whiny voice. vocal quality is important in broadcasting and frequent listening to a whiny pitch becomes grating. You can have all the skills in the world but if your voice isn&#x27;t listener friendly you don&#x27;t belong in the booth. Which brings me to another grievance I have about all these female anchors on ESPN programs with voices and speech patterns that are more suited for Real wives or Kardashians type reality shows, just sayin..
