#2 Posted: 8/19/2012 10:29:45 AM now just to let you know, my style is not to bet the same way every week so the following bets you see here will not be a typical routine evry single week strategy i use.. its just for week 1,week 2 will be week 2, then week 3, and so on..now with no further a do.. here we go!!!  The 1st bet of the 2012 cfb season for bonilla420: A 7 tm parlay-1)Ohio state-20.5........ 2)West Virginia -20.5.......3) Florida -23.5....4)Georgia ml... ................5)LSU Ml....6)Oklahoma ML......7) Usc ml.... easy moneylines r included to make up for a couple of pts i bought on my spreads..also, y not take easy money when u can as none of those teams realisticly will lose.. and if they some how fkn did, then my take on it is that i just wasnt truely meant to win the bet.. but ill take that risk with these any day of the week 10 times on saturday.. all these games will be a winner,i repeat all will win! thanku and stay tuned for my next big play..

Even though all the powerhouse teams should WIN, you just never know when a backdoor cover will happen or when the football gods decide to darn you (case in point Appalachian state vs Michigan a couple yrs ago). Im pretty damn sure people had them in a ML parlay as well. Anyway Im not a hater and I want everybody to beat the punk behind books so BOL ... O and WVU may be the one to darn you |

do not bet parlays, I hope you do well and make a killing this year.
I just think that Week 1 poses enough betting uncertainty without
adding having to win multiple bets to cash a ticket.You've earned
the right to bet them anyway you see fit.I'm not a "hater",I just
think differently than you do about handicapping and money
management.Go get 'em and good luck.
P.S. I've got faith in you and wouldn't have taken the "under" anyway.

The math is simply as to why parlays are not a good proposition: Any football game has a 50-50 probability of a win/lose outcome (excluding the push). The probability of getting two 50-50 bets correct is 4:1. However, the payout is 2.6:1. Paying a lot of juice to add that other game. (the larger the parlay the worse the odds).
My two cents (and no disrespect intended, just expressing why I do not like parlays)

Betting parlays on a consistent basis has nothing to do with testicular fortitude.
It is, however, a hallmark of terrible bettors who consistently fail to understand basic probability and logic.
