Phillies +110 (dogs again? Really? The Phillies have simply teared the Braves a new one these last 3 games and they are getting dog points against Teheran who sucks on the road? Sign me up again. Adam Morgan has pitched exceptionally good lately and looks to be the best man in the rotation after Hamels departure but it's the Phillies bats that have been busy serving up some hot Philly cheesesteak!)
Royals +126 (Blue Jays are the most hyped team right now thanks to getting big name players Tulowitski, Price and Revere - outdoing the Royals and Johnny Cueto. Royals would kindly like to remind everyone that they are still the better AL team and usually split a 4 game series. When they win a game more often than not they'll win a couple more in a row. As long as Volquez pitches a good game and doesn't give up any homers Royals will win. Dickey has been amazing his last couple starts only giving up 2 runs per game with a 1.7 era in his last 3 starts, but... I wonder how well he will pitch when his last game was on the 29th? He will be pitching 3 days of rest in between instead of his usual 5 day off.)
Giants -136 (The reason why I picked the Giants against Hamel was because of the 15-2 shellacking against the Phillies over a month ago. They got to Hamel early and tagged him for 9 runs. Saturday he was able to last more than 3 innings and did considerably better but still gave up 5 runs, 2 of them HR's. Now they face another lefty whose also loves to give runs away. Remember that 21-5 beating the Yankees unleashed on the Rangers less than a week ago? Perez was pitching that game.
