Okay guys.. Lets look at the first game today: Rangers vs Athletics- 2:35 PM CT
Martinez 3-11 (4.93 ERA) vs Gray 13-8 (3.18ERA)
First off I live in Dallas, and after a tough start to the season I decided to strictly play my two home teams (Rangers and Astros). I have been to several Rangers games this season and watched Martinez pitch. Yeah the Rangers are somehow miraculously playing baseball right now. First they swept the Braves with relative ease, and now they are on they was to sweeping the A's!!?? Is this real?? The Athletics have to feel both pissed and embarrased at the way they have played recently. Stuggling on the mound and offensively they just cant seem to catch a break. They have to get their garbage together as they tied for the AL lead with the Royals.
Martinez is 3-11 for the season with a 4.93 ERA. He has decent games and many terrible ones. He did hold the A's to two earned runs in the last game against them in April. He has had six days rest. Gray has had a really tough time on the mound recently. 1-4 with a 4.85 era in his last 8 starts, but he has only allowed four runs over his last two starts.
The Rangers bats have been hot lately. Im not confident enough to play either side ML. Backing Martinez against Gray is ballsy to say the least. Great + money but I wouldnt put anything sizeable on them so I am looking at the run total. The A's have to be embarrased at their last two games. I see them getting to Martinez today for atleast 3-4 runs, and if the Rangers continue their day-game streak and recent offensive streak they should be able to get to Gray for some runs as well.
I am not saying that I am going to make a play on this game. Just wanted to know what you guys think. I think that the Over 7.5 runs is worth looking at. Just saying..

1-0 so far today. That makes it a 9-0 run!! On to the evening. Angels pulled Weaver from the game so that ends that no run play. Will possibly have another one later. Looking into the games now.

Taking it easy on the no run 1st inning plays tonight. Looking into Thursday night football. Thinking about possibly putting a play on my Astros tonight. Not extremely confident and I don't want to let you guys down.

well said Aggie - I was going to say nothing looks compelling tonight but wanted to wait for your input first. Nothing looks compelling so lets wait until something does plain and simple. No need to force a bet. Besides when you can get Auburn -3.5 first half why the hell would you waste money on MLB!!! lol
