I will start with the Under again today, and if I land there, I will be the cheaper price and take the Under 7.0 at +105.
That cost me on Wednesday, but how often does a team score 6 runs in the top of the 9th? Not often enough for me to pay the extra 30 cents to cash with a 7 spot.
The Mariners released Kelly Shoppach today and signed Henry Blanco, so you can expect Mike Zunino to be your every day catcher and while this guy is a legit prospect, he needed a torrid start to the PCL season to keep his average above .200. He will struggle at the plate.
Oakland does hit slightly better vs LHP . . . so that is a small casue for concern on the Under. I'm not buying too much into joe Saunders sucking on the road, this is still a pitchers ballpark. If this game was at Camden yards, then I might be shying away from an Under play.
Another concern is Tommy Milone's BABIP, he is due some regression, but I'm not convinced the mariners are the team to take advantage. The Mariners did rough up Milone back in May as well.
Also, Only one Oakland reliever threw more than 18 pitches in the Thursday marathon vs the Yanks, so I'm not horrribly concerned there either.
Will also take a peak at the A's RL, as I do think the Mariners are over matched in this series.
