Nice hit yesterday on the Yanks, you lucky person.

Johnson came in again and did his best By-Yung-Kim imitation.  It certainly didn't hurt that Girardi told Arod to grab some bench.  Fortunately, I was on the right side of the ledger the first time it happened.  I hate relievers that aren't strikeout pitchers.  Too dependent on their pitches hitting the exact location.

Anyway...on the Reds and Cards today as well.

I had every intention of taking the Giants, because I rode Cain during the day all year, but it looks like Latos has a good day record as well, and is a tough match-up for the Giants.   It would be a bigger play for me personally if the Reds were starting Frazier in place of Rolen.

As far as the Cards, it should be a Cards or NP for the rest of the NLDS for anyone who has watched any of those games.

50,000 posts.

Covers has been a big part of my day for 5+ years now, and I just wanted to say a few things. First off, these forums provide endless hours of entertainment, and that's something that cannot be taken away from this place. There are a lot of different styles on these boards, from MLB to NFL, to NBA, to the best forum on covers, the NHL forum. As I've always said, the purpose of my thread is to generate discussion about the games at hand and to hear different viewpoints among various people. I don't care if my thread has 20,000 views or 2,000 views, as long as we all can get something useful out of it, that's all that matters. I remember in 2007 when I joined this site, I would get excited when I would crack 500 views. After putting in the time, and by time, I mean the research, the "capping", the discussions, and finally the posts, I've come to realize that covers is a brotherhood where you need to earn respect, but also you need to have an open mind when it comes to this place. I can't tell you how many times I have been challenged, I have been called out...I have had people create fake accounts just to bash me. It comes with the territory I guess...basically you can't be thin-skinned when you do this stuff. No way, no how. Remember, we're all in this together...it's a free site, nobody is there pressing submit for you. It's all on you. Everyone here should try to help everyone else. Not vice versa. I've seen way too many good, quality posters leave covers altogether due to some of the juvenile activity around here at times. This is why there's a penalty box... Anyways, let's watch some October baseball.
