Hopefully it pans out - Sundays are tough for me, as they are for others, too.
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if I hit the [6U] play then dropped everything else...
But I spent a good amount of time since last night on this card - I'm fairly confident, I guess...

Like the Dodgers today as well, but probably will go RL. Balls have been flying all over Coors field in last week, so I don't expect a one-run game either way.
Why the Indians? Twinkies have won 4 of 5, Indians lost 6 of 8. Indians 4-11 vs LH. Not that I'd take Minny, just seems like a stay-away game. |

#11 Posted: 6/3/2012 11:57:01 AM At first glance I loved the over but after seeing the ump....that gave me some serious pause. Doug Eddings has always been in the top 3 in calling strikes along with Brian Gorman and Phil Cuzzi. Lok at these strike % in the last 4 years...this year 63% 2011-64.28% 2010-63.74% 2009-63.05%......remember the avg strike % is about 62% so clearly this guy based on stats and reputation has never seen borderline pitch that wasn't strike. When I am on an over I want the umpire on my side

Card looks good Gil. With you on the Braves and O's but against you as I am on the Rockies. BOL with the total play as well. |

Always appreciate your insight on the umpires - I've seen you throughout the forum with some great stats...
I rarely add in the Umpire factor when diggin' into a game - well, I should say umps stats. I do factor in their trends, and today seeing that Eddings has been an UNDER ump for the home team Phillies.
Giving Zambrano a wider strike zone is definitely a negative for OVER backers...

YES, that's a big reason why; 12IP, 14H, 11ER - 0-2/8.25 ERA
And the pesky Pirates are facing a rookie SP in the tiny ballpark of Miller Park... these same Pirates put up 8 -vs- Wolf back on Friday after an early jump. I think that's quite possible today...
8 of the last 11 games played @ Miller Park have gone OVER. |

I like quality pitchers in bounce back form - last outing Masterson gave up 7ER -vs- the Royals @ home and looking for him today to be in top form @ home -vs- a Twins ball club who are averaging 3 runs PPG on the final game of a series this year. |
