What a tease. Royals come back from 9-2 only to lose in extra innings to break a streak of 11 straight W's for me. Oh well, it obviously took some good luck to win 11 straight.....
Saturday Recap: Rangers under 8.5, even (2U) Orioles, +155 (1U) Orioles over 9, even (1U) Royals, -133 (3U)
Saturday: 3-1, +0.56 Units Season: 22-12, +19.9 Units Average Play: 1.71 Units
My streak would have ended today anyway. No great three or four unit plays today (i've only had one 4U so far). Just what I consider very good value. I like a lot today but I don't love anything. These are always the days that make me a little nervous because I have a lot on the line without any great plays.

det@cws - 24 mph crosswind from right field foul pole to left field foul pole. This type of strong and direct crosswind can hurt a pitcher's location. Sale doesn't rely on location as much as Porcello and Sales stuff is more likely to cut through the wind. Possible isolated thunderstorms.
cle@kc - Partly cloudy with wind expected to be blowing at 26 mph out to left-center. This combined with two bullpens that used 13 pitchers last night is enough to look at the over. One caution is a couple of groundball pitchers.

-Brian Matusz is amazing at giving up HR's (3.3 HR/9 last year!!!!) and the Blue Jays are amazing at hitting them. He was banged up last year but still..
-One start doesn't help me forgive Kyle Drabek's 6.3 BB/9 and 11 wild pitches and 10 HR's in 78 innings last year. And allowing lefties a 0.924 OPS is pretty funny. The O's have no shortage of lefties and switch hitters. After he got demoted, Drabek's WHIP was over 2 with a 1.4 Hr/9 ratio in the minors. Anyone want to lay big juice with this guy?
-Rick Porcello's L/R splits are extreme (.780 ops vs R/.602 ops vs L). It was .100 off the year before too. The White Sox have some lefties and switch hitters to start. A general knock on Porcello is that he is a groundball pitcher who doesn't miss many bats and the already bad infield defense behind him became a complete debacle. As I mentioned earlier, the crosswind could hurt his location.
-I can't believe Jerome Williams is back. That is all.

-The Rays bullpen has thrown 245 pitches in 3 days. It's a little deceiving since they called up and pitched De La Rosa today before sending him right back. Yesterday they were actually missing guys and we saw what Boston did to that pen but today it looks like everyone but Badenhop could go. I'd expect Rodney to get an inning of work weather it's a save situation or not (last pitched on the 11th).
-Janssen is probably unavailable for Toronto but Santos is back after being away from the team.
-Johnson and O'Day have pitched back-to-back days and I'd guess both will be off Sunday. This pen has been playing catch-up since the Yankees series.
-The indians and Royals each emptied the bullpen last night. That's B2B for Sipp(cle), Pestano(cle) and Herrera(kc).
-Ogando has gone back-to-back (19 pitches each) and probably won't be available. Nathan had a high pitch count yesterday and Washington has said he'll use him back-to-back but not after high pitch counts.
Bullpens in good shape for Sunday: NYY, BOS, DET, CWS, MIN, LAA, OAK, SEA

- The Braves were the worst hitting team against lefties last year, and already this year they once again rank in the bottom half of the league in OPS against southpaws. Milwaukee's Chris Narveson, who tossed six shutout innings against the Braves last year, is a solid starting option today.
Also - Venters AND Kimbrel pitched again yesterday.

Menace - I guess I missed the start of the race. Good luck with Biffle
Tinfoils - Glad to help, let's go Tribe
Barnstorm - Good catch. I had it sorted by RPG at that moment. They're #7 and #8 actually. The umpire was the only reason I didn't play this for more. I set this line total at 11. It looks like Matusz is a new pitcher though and if he pitches like this anyone with over can rip up their ticket now.

The wind I was speculating about last night is reportedly blowing out to left-center at over 35 mph. These bullpens emptied yesterday as neither starter made it through the third.

So pissed I missed over in Tribe game, was doing some shit.
Biffle won race last night! He, Kenseth and Martin came top 5, plus Carl and Truex top 10. Also went 3-2 on matchups (4-1 if 1 of my plays didn't run out of gas on last lap ). Quick 9.99 unit profit after a 3 hour race will work for me til next week!
Nice hit on Jays over. I'm happy Drabek didn't help you at all and you still got there. He threw a gem that I watched all of and am impressed. Dominated Yanks last spring start, solid 1st outing vs BoSox last week, dominant today. Hoping he has confidence in his stuff and thinks he belongs now, cause that's the biggest thing for a young dude with his ability. His change-up is news to me and good stuff.

Menace - I never saw your plays. I thought when you posted "Biffle" you were saying to take him today. Wish I knew it was last night, lol. Feel free to post it in my thread next Saturday.

Will do. I texted you too. I didn't want to clutter your bases thread with it and didn't have time to post it all anyway. Oh well, next week.
Did you watch O's/Jays? I was pretty impressed with Drabek, wondering if you saw him today and have any thoughts if so...

I watched it while I had other games on. I always thought he had potential but more as a #2 or #3 upside which is still solid. I just think his fastball is too hittable. The O's hit a few hard when I looked at it but maybe I just looked at the wrong times.
