Just starting to cap baseball really not my sport but I've been doing my homework. Holding my own at 7 - 4 YTD (+3180)
I picked Baltimore tonight only because they have been playing in some tough games and I think the win is coming. I got the game at +161 but now +148 coming down 13 points. I jumped on it not realizing Matusz sucks against division opp he's 7 - 31 SU. Just trying to learn a little more on capping baseball and whats your take on it?
Going with LA Angels as my back up!
**BONUS PLAY IN NBA** (If intrested) LA Clippers +6.5

i just cant bet on bad pitching teams. the orioles are horrible against the rays..even worse in tampa. their pitching will get destroyed this year against the AL east. it will be a race between them and the jays to worst record in the league

u are probally correct but I misread the 7 - 31 SU div record thinking it was Matsuz stats when in reality he's not bad so that would account for the line move...PT55 might be right their could be some value here BOL

You are extremely misguided about the Orioles pitching.
Last year they started the season with the following rotation: Guthrie, Koji, Hendrickson, Eaton, Alfredo Simon and Rich HIll.
About half way through the season every single one fo the above was no longer a starter and the future, of orioles pitching, were being brought up and performed admirably.
From the point where Bergesen, Hernandez, Tillman, Matusz were brought up the Orioles dropped their ERA by more than a half run and almost a full run.
Now the team gets to the season with Millwood, who will eat innings and pitch decent, which in turn will keep the bullpen fresh and make the Orioles a much better pitching team.
Matusz was the #1 pitcher in all of baseball for a reason. HE is ver polished and has 4 ML average-above average pitches which he can throw all of them for strikes in any count to any part fo the plate.

The Rays were made a -160 favorite for a reason. Their starter, Jeff Niemann is coming off a 13-6 season with an ERA under 4. He's 6' 9" with a 98 MPH fastball and a nasty slider. The Rays have advantages across the board in team defense, speed, and power, not to mention one of MLB's best home winning percentages over the last 2 years. A lot of people are selectively forgetting who won the first 2 games of this series, and who will be the only AL East team left to chase the Yankees come September. It ain't gonna be the stinkin' O's.

Holy crap u got me into September I don't think I'm gonna make it to May lol I have a different style of play than some reading heavy into details and that usually spells disaster but goodluck

Getty3 I hate the Yankees but I really don't see anyone chasing them comes September. They have to much pressure on them to win and with "good n granderson" they make King Kong & Godzilla look like house pets but I'll be rooting for your D-Rays

I play every game for a dime because I'm out of my mind but I'm selective on the amount of games plus I play with college $. That's the $ I win on college basketball carrys me through the year. So this is the first time dabbling with MLB and will pull the plug when the air tank hits red.

If you want to bet the Orioles, a better bet would be the 5 inning line. The closer for the Orioles, Gonzalez, only saved 10 games out of 17 chances last year and blew his 1st chance this year. The pen is by far the worst part of this team.
The Orioles will be nice dogs as long as their pen continues to blow games for them. There will be many games this year in which the o's will be leading after 5 only to lose the game in the end. Picking your spots to play the 5 inn line will be solid value all year.

Question: Didn't Matusz pick up the win against the RAYS last season? Not to sure on which pitcher it was for the O's, that's why I'm asking.
