I just got home from the Wild game, and it was ugly. The Blues took the crowd out of it in the 1st 5 minutes, not giving us any reason to cheer, until getting the PP goal at start of 2nd. From the start, you could see that Dubnyk wasn't "there" tonight, however the Team and crowd had new found energy and had they scored another, or even kept Blues in check for awhile, we have a completely different game. Blues came right back and scored, and that was it. Once Dubnyk gave up that 4th goal, you could see the collective air of the team completely leave the Excel. They were literally, just going through the motions the entire 2nd half of the game.
The reason I say all this, is simple. The Wild will come out strong and aggressive on Friday, and I expect the Blues to do the same. The game, and series, totally hinges on the resiliency and play of Dubnyk. If he plays tentative, soft and gives up rebounds and the Blues get on the board twice before the Wild score- Game, Set. Match. If he gets his mojo back, makes a couple big saves, and the Wild plays the style of game they did Saturday, forecheck strong and get the 1st one, or 1 of the 1st two- whole new Series.
The other key for Wild is getting Parise back on Taresenko, and shutting him down, like he did in games 1 and 3 (both of which he had 0 shots and a - rating) and forcing the Blues forecheck to the outside.
I'm not touching the game, but will say whichever team wins the game, it will be by more than 1 goal, and that team will probably win the next game, and the series
