It seems i've overpaid the price on Kings -133 earlier, saw Kings -125 at 5dimes after Devils beat Rangers. But i still expect Kings win this series. GL, bud!

Since the lockout season rule changes, of the 2 teams facing each other in the SCFs, the team...
- who registered at least 2 wins when scoring 2 goals or less throughout their conference series stage
- and who registered more of such wins than their SCF opponent
...has gone 5-0 in the Stanley Cup Finals. (Only 1 SCFs in this period has featured 2 teams who both failed to register at least 2 such results: Pit vs Det in 08-09. What's exceptional about that SCFs is of course the fact that those 2 teams were meeting each other a 2nd straight year, so there was a familiarity factor to those finals which haven't been present for any other since the rule changes.)
Here the LA Kings have at least 2 such wins in their conference playoffs (actually 3 in total), and have registered more such wins than their SCF opponent, New Jersey (who hasn't registered a single such result; and played 4 more games than LA, so had 4 more chances than LA did to manage even just 1 result).
New Jersey has a weakness - it has proven it cannot win without scoring a bunch of goals (at least 3). With Quick behind the pipes, LA has conceded less than 3 goals in almost 50% of their games (6 of 14).

Hope it works for the Kings, thanks SC1984! i like a #8 seed team beat #1, 2, and 3 seed teams in the conference playoffs, mostly on at their home ice. Quick is a damm good goalie and Kings are on a mission after so many frustrated years since 1993.

Quick, Kopitar, Doughty and company just accomplished what Gretzkey, Robitaille, Hrudey and company couldn't do in 1994. I can still remember that Roy and Canadiens lift the Cup after they defeated Kings. It has been some long years of frustration and agony for the Los Angeles Kings.
But the wait is OVER. KINNNNNGS the 2012 Stanley Cup Champ!!!

Thanks, buddy. It has been long years since 1994, LA and Kings now can enjoy the victory. I can still feel the agony of 1994 defeat by Patrick Roy and the Canadiens. Ducks hoisted the Cup few years ago, and now it's Kings' turn, great day for So Cal.
