He looks average athletically vs NBA players...Not a great defensive player. Offensively he is a work in progress.   Looks like he should have been drafted in the mid 20's.   Lakers drafted this dude to be a passing PG in a league that is built on scoring PG's.

Fultz looks like the real deal.  Can get his shot anytime he wants and is doe sit with ease.  Reminds me of James Harden.

Lonzo Ball 2-15 / 1-11 from 3. LOL This kid needs to work on his jump shot. He's not gonna be wide open all time in the NBA and those cut little "Bombs at UCLA are now deep NBA 3's. Moral of the story is the kid cant shoot period and he was on a good UCLA team. Putting him to be the main focus on a shitty lakers team might never work unless they get a few dominant scorers who feed off the pass.

There has to be room for another Jason Kidd-type of player, somebody that can get everybody involved and occasionally stick a 3.

Understand, I hate the Lakers, and I hate Lavar, but this kid has a chance to be pretty good.

Could he be better than Kidd? Maybe. I think he's already better than Rickey Rubio, which is a good place to start............

I think de Arron fox is going to be a stud. He had a nice debut. As for Ball. I agree with Dave. On draft position maybe even second round

Josh Jackson will be a bust.  He has no jump shot and will struggle to score.  Justin Jackson for Sac looks good.  Dude is long and can shoot the 3 ball.

2/15 floor with 5 assists first summer league game. Hasn't played full court game since March, but other rookies have done well, so, jury still out..............or are they?

Triple double across the board with 11/11/11, which is consistent, if nothing else.

Never had a triple double in college..........

The thing with Ball is he has no mid range game due to his awkward shot.  He cannot pull up for a shot going the right.   It's shoot the 3 or drive to the hoop.

LOL at offensively he is a work in progress. That's ridiculous. This kid has vision and passing ability like no other rookie has had in a million years. He is 10 assists per game waiting to happen. Who cares about how ugly his shot is or his lack of defence.  What he does bring is elite of the elite ability to see the floor (especially on the fast break) and run a team like a true Point Guard floor general.

"Should have been drafted in the mid 20's"  HAHAHAHAHA  you are a comedian.

Magic Johnson believes this kid is a franchise point guard. I think magic knows more about playing you point guard position than a bunch of jabronis in a forum.

So basically Ball is Ricky Rubio... he can pass all he wants.. the league is changing and you need a scoring PG...

Ball is ricky Rubio like your boy u so high on fultz is James harden. How many times did you watch that garbage bag team Washington play last year to determine that. Please spare us with your insight Jay bilas

Instead on focusing on the negatives give this kid some credit for the positives as well. Jordan couldn't shoot threes. Shaq couldn't hit free throws. Kobe never passed. Harden can't play defence. But let's pile on this kid cause he can't make a freaking mid range jumper. Oh no.

Lakers should have stayed with DLo and picked up Tatum.

for being the #2 overall pick in a so called loaded draft... Ball sure looks underwhelming... Fultz... Tatum... Fox... they are dominating in summer league.

I know what you mean. Getting a triple double in his second summer league game is underwhelming he should have gotten a quadruple double. I'm not even a Lakers fan and couldn't care less if lonzo succeeds or not but seeing your replies in this thread are just making me angry.

I mean, who cares?  I can't stand all the hype around this kid(and his idiotic father) and it makes me smile that the team people hate the most (thanks Kobe) drafted him.

I hope they and he suck for years to come.  Or until they land Lefraud and George and challenge the Dubs for real

I find it funny and pretty sad that it seems people are looking for reasons to slam this kid.  Not surprised given the world we live in though.  What exactly has Lonzo done to earn any hate?  Hate his father as he is a goof of biblical proportions but give his kid at least a chance, 2 games in and predicting who will have better career.

What has he done?....He was overhyped to begin with his father touting him as the next great thing(LBJ type of Hype). We'll you better back it up and not be the next Ricky Rubio.
