"The Cavs went 19-63, 21-45, 24-58 and 33-49 in their four seasons without LeBron James. In his first season back they're in the NBA Finals."
I know people dont want to hear this, but this team has not had a challenge. The Hawks were never that good. The east is weak. That is just the facts. The Cavs have played: Celtics, Bulls (lost to them once - should have lost to them twice.. that replay review let them set up a final shot). and the Hawks who lost Korver for 2 games and lost Horford for one.. heck Gibson was out 1 of those bulls games.
Does anyone really think this team can beat the Spurs in 7? I dont think they can even beat the Clippers.
As far as him taking them to the FINALS in his 1st year back. Look at who all they added to help him. Irving is in his 2nd year. They had to add Mozgov, Shumpert and Jr Smith.. and the usual LeBron bench players who are just there for a ring.
He still needs his supporting cast. Dellavedova is just a "newer" version of Mike Miller.. except Miller never hit people in the knees on purpose. LOL
But anyways.. wish the Cavs went through the playoffs in the West and Im rooting for the Warriors.
Ill say this.. and Ill bring this post back up.
But I can bet ... one of the Warriors players gets hurt. You can bet on it. Someone from the Warriors will get hurt. Curry, Thompson, etc.

Agreed. East is a joke. Mr. Silver needs to intervene and make a change immediately. Cavs in finals just because one star player enters the team? What a joke.

And it will pave the way for King James.
The Cavs actually lost to the Bulls twice. Lost game 1 in Cleveland and 3 in Chicago, but yes East is terrible.

Why don't they just make it one big league with all 30 teams in it and then the top 16 teams make the playoffs? It would mean that teams like Nets, Bucks and Celtics wouldn't make it coming off a losing season. Seems ridiculous to me that those 3 teams make it and they are all under 500% for the season but then OKC misses out even after having a winning season

One alternate playoff scenario I saw, I think was Cuban's idea, was to drop the East/West designation for the playoffs so 1 plays 16, 2 v 15, regardless of conf. Would be pretty cool.
Personally I think the move would be make every series best of 3 and the finals best of 5. Would be insane seeing these guys put their all into a best of 3 series. Down 1-0 your already on the brink of elimination. Would never happen though, too much lost $$ from tv ratings, ticket sales, etc.

Despite everything I just said, it is possible there are no problems and the playoff system is just fine. The concept of adding 1 player to a roster can change the results that drastically is insane and ruins the sport in a way, but that one player (Lebron) just happens to be the once in a generation star. This case should be treated as an outlier.

One reason is travel, but that is less of an issue now than it was before charter planes.
The other reason is time zones. If you are in the East, the west coast games start at 10:30. If you are in the West, 4:30. TV and most fans would much prefer the series played in the same timezone.

I agree with this,I would like to see the best of 3 where seeds 1-8 have the first 2 games at home and if the split happens then game 3 for the seed 9-16. Save time on travel and make the 9-16 seeds win one on the road for a chance at home. Maybe the first round go best of 3, next round best of 5, then two rounds of best of 7. This season takes to damn long and players don't show up every night during the regualr season.

No.. its not his fault. Im just mad at the MJ and Kobe comparisons because in his 1st year hes already taking the Cavs to the finals.
I wish the Wizards would have beat the Hawks now.
Its not his fault, but dont put him on this pedestal just because they are going to the finals when they didnt play anyone.
there is NO comparison, jordan is clearly superior(thus far) and kobe clearly inferior....if you see comparisons made simply regard the writer/speaker as being the retard that they obviously are

Im telling ya! Let it begin my friends! Its all set up for LeBron to bring it back to Cleveland!
Makes me sick!
You ever consider talking to mental health professional? The East is trash after top 4 but the West isn't nearly as strong as last few years. Who has GS beat so far in playoffs? Grizz are only decent team and they are basically the Bulls of the West cant score enough to beat teams in 7 game series. NO is going to be very good in couple years but they aren't close, Rockets? They are trash, 1 player who needs to score 45 for them to have chance.
If he wins it was fixed, if he loses he is a choker. I cheer for LeBron now because so many of you tards cant deal with it, love seeing the meltdowns and excuses when he wins. By the way LeBron is far superior basketball player then Kobe, not close.
