I believe that this will be a short series...This is a terrible matchup for the Washington Wizards.....
Beal and Wall will get their points but Teague always plays well against the Wizards and Korver will hold his own. The problem lies with 3, 4 and 5 positions. The combination of Carrol, Milsap and Horford create too many problems for Pierce, Nene and Gortat. Carrol will be able to guard Pierce...He "will not" be the factor that he was in the Toronto series. As for Horford, he will dominate play against a slow Gortat. He can draw Gortat away from the basket which causes many rebounding issues for the Wizards. Millsap will be guarded by Nene, which in my opinion, is a complete mismatch.
Lastly, the Atlanta Bench will outplay the Washington Bench in this series...They are deeper and more athletic.....
Look for Game #1 to be dominated by Horford and Millsap. Pierce will be a "Non-Factor" today. Beal and Wall will get their points today but so will Teague and Korver.....

I agree. We are now in the second round yet the #1 seed Hawks are still searching for respect from Vegas. The #3-#8 seeds in the west are FAR better than anything in the east once you drop down past Cleveland and the Bulls, yet the Hawks are only 5 point favorites.
Don't forget this is the same Wizards team that struggled through a 2 wins out of 13 and a 1 win out of 6 streak after the all star break. The Wiz did rebound down the stretch finishing the season, but check and see what happened when they played top tier teams at the end of the season? They lost to Golden State, Cleveland and Houston while beating up on the Hornets, Sixers (twice), Pacers, and Knicks before facing an equally fading team (Toronto) in the playoffs.
The Wiz finished the season on a 15 wins and 21 losses stretch. There is NOTHING about this team that I would consider a contender..........not even in the pathetic eastern conference.
Atlanta showed signs of a rebound to form in the final 2 games vs. the Nets. Laying only 5 to the Wiz here is a beaming beacon for my bankroll.
