WASHINGTON WIZARDS ML (+103) - - - The Wizards are slumping big time, losers of 4 straight and 6 of their last 8. I really equate their struggles this season to Bradley Beal. I used to nickname him "The Future". I really thought that this kid along with Klay Thompson would be the best 2 guards in the game in a few years. John Wall has been killin' it all season but Bradley Beal has been a bit of a disappointment in my eyes. He needs to be a go-to-guy for the Wiz, it is of the utmost importance that he becomes the number 1 option on offense. I still think his stroke is one of the best in the NBA and I have a feeling that he gets it going after the all-star break. The back-to-back situation is not really a concern for me. Beal and Wall both played 38 minutes and had outstanding games vs the Atlanta Hawks. The Wiz came as close as anyone down the stretch against the 5 man starting rotation of the Hawks. The Wiz are 8-4 SU on b2b games & 10-1 ATS on the road after a loss as a dog. Washington is also the best team in the league at protecting the paint, even though Al Jefferson had 19 points in their last meeting, he did not have an efficient shooting night. You may see the Wiz collapsing their D tonight and doubling Al if he gets off forcing Roberts, Henderson and MKG to make perimeter shots. If the Wiz can restrict Big Al from going off, and stop MKG from crashing the glass, they have a good chance at outscoring the Hornets who rank 3rd worst in the NBA at points per game. I do understand that the Hornets are surging with wins in 11 of their last 14 which equates to a 7th spot in the Eastern playoffs, I just do not see the Wiz dropping 5 straight games. Washington exacts sweet revenge on the Charlotte Hornets tonight with executional excellence.

CHARLOTTE HORNETS UNDER 92.5 PTS (-110) - - -
I like the change of the bench rotation for the Wiz, getting Temple and Porter out there instead of Miller and Butler. The infusion of youth and defense is a good thing even though it has not translated into consistent productive offense & wins, I hope the rotation stays the same. If you take the Denver game out of the equation (their defense, lack of effort and pace allowed the horrible Hornets offense to score 104 points in a blowout), Charlotte has averaged 84.5 points in the last 5 games, I don't think the 3rd worst offensive team in the NBA getting 93 points tonight against the 9th best defense in the NBA. The combined low pace play of both teams is also a factor, the Hornets do not run or push the pace at all ranking 30th in the NBA on the break, they run a half court set with high-low action for Big Al. If the Wiz collapse their D down low and double Big Al, it will force the 30th ranked 3-point team to make perimeter shots which I just do not see happening. Hornets go under the total tonight, I suspect in the 80's.
