Never bet the under when playing totals. It's a simple rule. If you HAVE to play totals, pick over plays only. Think about it, over-time is like 0 and 00 on a roulette wheel, gives the house the edge if you're betting unders.

Not to mention, trying to watch a game you've bet the under on is like going to the dentist to get a filling: there's nothing fun about it, and it always hurts.
Obviously there's no sure-fire strategy to betting totals. But my personal rule is, always bet the over if I like the number. Even if I don't like the number and feel like gambling, bet the over.

Hes not an idiot, just contributing good fade material to covers.com.
As someone said, a capper who wins at 40% is more valuable than a guy that wins at 55%.
A capper that hits 50% has the lowest contribution to this forum.

To simply say "I just bet the over even if I don't like the total." is the worst advice to even admit to saying I don't care who or what you call yourself or what others call you on here.
This guy must have flushed his last dollar after the past 2-3 weeks playing overs.
Where are the people who like to have intelligent conversations about relevant things? seems like most of this forum is guys like this giving the wrong advice and I have to cipher through 100 BS posts before I stumble upon another gent like myself who actually loves the sport and isn't partial to tailing someone with a YTD record and followers just saying best of luck?

Overs are the way to go with basketball he is right. However you must know the three rules of sports gambling and you have to be consitant with your plays. All of you bashing on this guy are loser you can't cap garbage. You Bash for no reasons and cannot Cap garbage. You can't win handicapping games unless your on the team.

Lol bashing for no reason is the base of your argument bro...ok then you bet the overs and post back in here in one week if you are plus anything I'll never post to this guys thread again

Wow! I came back to check on this thread, and I see I'm getting a ton of love from my covers brothers lol!
A special shout-out to Vito and Umirin for having my back. Appreciate that. Look, I'll be the first to admit I'm not crushing any book betting sides or totals. The truth is, I don't gamble much on either. I'm smart enough to know I don't have the edge to beat the books. I'm not a sharp. I play daily fantasy and do much better, for a plethora of reasons; the first being, I can find and edge against other players, I can't against the books.
That being said, I was simply sharing my own humble opinion on betting bball totals. I didn't say my theory was right.
There's not a single person on this thread that can tell me (or anyone else) how to beat the book playing totals. If you were, you wouldn't be on this thread, you'd be too busy counting your mounds of cash.
Someone just tell me this. If by betting the over, you cover the 0 and 00 numbers on the roulette board, how is betting the under not giving the house and edge... assuming you are not on the sharp side, which 96% of guys in here aren't.
By my logic, betting the under, OT can kill you. Betting the over OT can never kill you.

And how many games this year in OT stayed under vs went over? I know from my foggy memory the majority stayed under.
If you do well in fantasy basketball clearly you're well versed on current trends in the NBA and how most players play night in and night out. So I would be safe to assume you've at least looked back at or glanced over the totals each night (at least at the games your players are playing in) to know the unders have been on fire. Especially if you "just feel like gambling" and sprinkle something on the totals here and there you surely would've lost your wagers majority of the time this month and would have had SOMETHING relevant to say.
So to leisurely come onto this forum and drop some "insight" on betting the overs like it's gospel....then change your story when I call BS....is BS. Im starting to see half the people on here are giving the wrong advice and trying to sucker others into bad bets. If you and these "cappers" you speak so highly of have all this experience advice and insight then surely they could see what I'm seeing and would be making logical posts.
