They just lost the 8th seed again and will be on the prowl for this win.
ORL is only playing for pride at the moment so if they get down 15+ I can see them just going through the motions whereas if LAL gets down 8-12 points they will be clawing to get back.
In their last match up; ORL won in LA however they had Big Baby and Redick for this game and they contributed A LOT! 37 points, 13 def rebounds, and 9 assists between them two.
LA is playing their best basketball when it counts, NOW. If LA put up 103 when they were playing bad think about what they can put up when they are playing well.
E Clark and Blake were out for this game as well so LA's bench is much improved for tonight's game.
AF has done well against Kobe in the past however tonight Kobe has too much to play for. When Kobe gets the eye of tiger he is an unstoppable force.
I really dont see how ORL wins this game and one rule of thumb with betting dogs is if you dont think they have a shot to win straight up, dont take them with the points.

How can you back your Lakers when they barely beat teams under .500 and were trailing all game until Kobe threw up Miracles and single-handedly won games for them.

I see your point and it is a valid one to a degree.
BUT as hard as it is...as cappers we should not allow previous games dictate present and future picks. you can easily drive yourself crazy doing that in everyday basketball.
each new game is just that; a new game where anything can happen. if you notice the past 7-10 days...the teams who are playing for playoff seeding have been playing well while teams already out have been playing like crap. its just human nature esp when you are young athlete. you are already thinking of summer plans.
the main reason for this play is simple...the Lakers have new life once they actually held the 8th seed for a brief day. they were able to put the whole season behind them and say, "hey guys its okay, we are in the playoffs and thats all that really matters at the end of the reg season."
No matter what you say LAL is a tough in a 7 game series and if they hold the 8th seed, the #1 seed will be stressing just a bit thinking "we fought hard all season to have the best record in the west only to play the Lakers in the first round?"

This one will finish 104-100. ORLANDO
So you think that LAL scores less than their previous game early in the season when they had very little time and experience with each other? No Clark, No Blake, and the other team had Big Baby and Redick?

lakes wont be motivated will turn it on in second half for win .
Orlando plus the generous points
Yeah you might be right.
Getting the 8th seed and then losing it the next day will unmotivate the Lakers and give them a "eh, lets just turn it on in the 2h to get a small margin win" (being sarcastic if you couldnt tell)

looks like lakers might not cover. the way they are playing and letting orlando hang around. i think lakers feel like up by 5 or 6 the game is in the bag. everytime they are up 10 they start shooting random shots.
