Give me the Thunder minus the points tonight. Memphis +10 appealed to me originally as Rudy G.ay has been a volume shooter lately shooting under 40%. It usually pays to ride a team after losing one of their top players but I don't feel like it will tonight. In my opinion, Memphis has been playing very uninspired basketball in their last few games and this trade to create cap space while sitting in a home court playoff position in the West is a sign that they are raising the white flag for the season . Definitely not a good motivator for the players. Tonight, Oklahoma City has all the motivation they need coming off a loss, a revenge game, AND well rested. Zach Randolph has not looked like himself lately and I don't see him and Gasol having an offensive advantage over Perkins and Ibaka. Usually I love to take the points on TNT Thursday but tonight I don't think Memphis has the scoring to keep up with the Thunder. In previous seasons, if Rudy G.ay goes I would without a doubt play the +10 in this situation. However I just do not see the same step up potential on this Grizzlies Roster and they just don't have the shooters that they would need to compete with the Thunder if Ibaka and Perkins have the paint locked down. Good luck with whatever you decide to play! Enjoy the hoops! |
