I hope everyone had a great weekend and I hope we can make it better by winning some money today. It looks like there are some huge games with not so huge spreads on the board. I would say my follower's could guess one bet I'm going to be taking, but I think we have a few good ones today!
Lakers (Home) +3 - Thunder (Away) -3
My Pick: Thunder -3
It is going to take more than one win for me to stop fading LA. I don't expect Pau Gasol to shoot 87% and don't expect Kobe to get 14 assists. The Thunder are a much better road team than Utah, and could easily compete with the performance the Lakers gave Friday. This is the same Lakers team that has won 3 out of their last 13 games. This is still the exact same team that has been getting crushed all month and the defending Western Conference champions will deliver a spanking in LA tomorrow.
Knicks (Home) -5 - Hawks (Away) +5
My Pick: Knicks -5
One game hasn't changed my opinion on the Lakers and one game won't change my opinion on New York. The Hawks have dropped 5 of their last 6 games to the Knicks and have lost 6 straight on the road. Yesterday the team just wasn't properly adjusted to playing with Felton after his 12 game absence. Their game against the Sixers will serve as an excellent warm up game. Now that they have adjusted to Felton they will get their offensive groove back and have a much improved perimeter game.
Magic (Home) -2 - Pistons (Away) +2
My Pick: Pistons +2
I have been winning money off of Detroit for several weeks now and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Before losing to Miami and Chiacgo Detroit had won 9 of their last 13 games. The Magic on the other hand have only won 2 of their last 17 games, including a 15 point loss to Detroit just last week. This Magic team is having some major problems and that won't be changing today against the Pistons.
Boston (Home) +3.5 - Miami (Away) -3.5
My Pick: Miami (-3.5)
Last but not least we have the fading Boston Celtics against the Miami Heat. The Celtics are coming off a 6 game losing streak sitting on a 20-23 record. Paul Pierce is not the same player he used to be, and this team isn't even half of the team it was last year. The Celtics will have to ride Rondo to victory and I believe that is just too much weight for this young man to carry. This will be a playoff atmosphere and it definitely won't be the day for bean town to turn their season around.

Well, not really. Pau Gasol missed 5 games and Dwight Howard missed three. The Lakers were without both of them for three games on the 8th, 9th, and 11th, and dropped all three, including the embarrassing blowout loss to the Thunder on ESPN.

------ yah..with them back, Jobe will spare a few points for them. Same sheit with difference bodies.

Knives - The grizzlies was one of my first leans today, but I decided to the spread was too big, the Hornets can put up a lot of points. The grizzlies are a great defensive team though, so it may be a good bet. Just one I wasn't sure on really.
MrBator - Those guys have proved to be pretty ineffective in solving the Lakers problem. They need depth and defense, not more volume shooting all-stars. If the Lakers win today, I'll stop fading them. I'm still way in the profit for betting against the Lakers though, so no reason to stop now.
