Melo can't play defense for garbage and LBJ can defend every position. LBJ is far more consistent and makes his teammates better. Quit.

daywalker come on

all he does is shoot shots himself

never plays d, sometimes doesnt even get back at all.

never passes so teammates arent cool with that

DID I ALSO MENTION HE HAS THE WORST PLAYOFF WIN % FOR A SINGLE NBA PLAYER OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks at his teammates. Id take Miller or Battier over Smith any day. Amare cant play with him. Fields cant walk and dribble (but I thank Fields for great playing at the end to help me  cover the teaser)   Melo would look great with Lebrons team too...Althought James is an amazing player and a team player, I agree there.

In a nutshell, Melo is just a selfish, streaky ,high volume (aka ball hog) who happened to catch fire in the 2H, specifically 4q...if he isnt making shots, he brings nothing.

melo's definition of defense is to score more points than the guy guarding him.

This is a dumb thread.

Look who he's played in the Playoffs.

'04 as an 8 seed lost to KG and TWvoles 1 Seed.
'05 as a 7 seed lost to Spurs (Champs)
'06 got his team to the Playoffs with Elson and Buckner starting
'07 lost to Spurs (Champs)
'08 lost to Lakers as an 8 seed
'09 lost in West Finals to Lakers (Champs)

Does he really? Didn't he have a couple solid runs in Denver with Billups? Know he got to the second round at least once, that's 4 wins right there...

It was Reggie he tried to clean it up at the end by saying all the Bumping and Banging he'll be subjected to next season. Damn 35 pt's with LBJ on him and he played 40 min's and he's outta shape ....hate to see what the numbers would look like if he was in better shape

4. Chris Dudley, 20-34, .370

5. Brad Miller, 19-31, .380

6. Anthony Peeler, 22-35, .386

7. Marcus Camby, 30-46, .395

8. Stacey Augmon, 31-46, .403

9. Shane Battier, 22-32, .407

10. Tyron Corbin, 28-40, .412

You know little to nothing about the game of basketball if you think this guy is as good as James or Wade, or any number of other solid team players in the League.  How many shots did he take tonight?
