Detroit is the worst team that the Lakers will see on the road year-to-date. Looking at the Lakers road schedule they've played 4 TERRIBLE TEAMS so far this season, the Kings, Bucks, Raptors, and Suns. How do all these teams compare? All 4 teams are teams, UNDER .500 and terrible home teams except for Phoenix 10-9. The Lakers have gone 1-3 Straight up and 0-4 ATS against these teams. This is the first time I truly see a spot where the Lakers have a legit spot to come out and BLOW OUT this terrible team, that rank amongst the 4 bad teams I just mentioned. Lakers have a huge size advantage, their coming off a solid solid win over Miami with 1 days rest. To many BIG FACTORS AND SITUATIONAL ADVANTAGES not to take the Lakers in this one.

totally with you.  laker love:  without either steve blake(13 games due to bruised ribs) or andrew bynum (first four games due to suspension) in the lineup the lakers were 8-9 straight up.  with both blake and bynum in the rotation, which dramatically affects a team that lacks depth with the loss of lamar odom, turning out to not be such a bad move after all, THE LAKERS ARE 16-5 straight up.  with either both blake and bynum in the lineup, the lakers are 5-5 on the road; losing to two teams with losing records, utah (14-6 at home) and milwaukee (11-9) at home.  The lakers beat miami for kobe.  Now they'll beat detroit for John Kuester who got abused by these same bunch of bums in Detroit.  monroe and knight aren't bums.  but you can throw tayshon-- a glue guy from seven years ago-- dumars in that bum boat.

And if you think the LOS ANGELES LAKERS LED BY KOBE BRYANT, ARGUABLY THE MVP this year won't eventually cover as a road favorite eventually, then I don't know what to tell you. This is a perfect spot for this to happen. I can actually promise you the Lakers will for the first time all season have a successful road trip @ Washington tomm and then @ Minnesota.

No they were a dog in that game, but they were -2 favorites on 1/11/2012 @ Utah and they did cover in that one.

Any sharp plays today?

Against a team with a top-10 D-rating, Pistons are 3-14 this year with 2 of those wins coming against a Boston team missing their top-2 big men in Garnett and Bass and another one against a Pacers team in a ‘fatigue’ spot. Lakers are a top 10 defense this year.

Lakers have owned the Detroit Pistons the last 2 seasons. Haven't lost yet.

Lakers are 0-4 ATS this season on the ROAD vs BAD TEAMS. This is the worst team the Lakers are going to playing YTD on the road. Lakers are absolutely playing better basketball right now, compared to a month ago, that can easily be convert to them improving on the road as well. Past trends are past trends, but as the season moves forward, things tend to change, especially with the amount of talent the Lakers have.
