New coach in Toronto in Dwayne Casey, who was the man on the defensive side from last year's championship Mavs team. He brings a defense first type attitude. They're not over-loaded on talent, but do have some athletes and length. The Cavs suck, but did add Kyrie Irving. But i dont really trust him to shoot lights out and i think the players will have to get familiar with him running the team. This just doesnt strike me as an offensive showcase that's for sure.
2* Dallas -2 (1H)
Dallas looked AWFUL yesterday and in comes a team most think is top half in the Western Conference. I however, dont think they'll be as good as last year's record. Melo helped prop up the stats / records before he left and then they got Wilson Chandler, Galinari, Mozgov (yawn) and Raymond Felton. Well Felton is gone as is Wilson Chandler. Kenyon Martin and JR. Smith are gone as well. That's a ton of experience out the door IMO and takes away from their biggest strength last year (Depth). Don't want to go the full game because i dont think their defense will be as good as last years and might let these guys back into the game.
1* Minnesota T-Wolves +6
Easily the squarest play in the world for people looking to back the Thunder here. Thunder on B2B here and face what should be a fast paced Minnesota team tonight. Also here is the Thunder schedule.
Jan 25th: Magic
Jan 26th: @ Minny
Jan 28th: @ Memphis (Revenge for Memphis)
Jan 29th: Mavericks (Revenge for OKC)
Then get the Suns and back to Dallas and Blazers. This is the one weak spot even though i think the Suns is the best position being in between all of these.
1* San Antonio Spurs -5 I might be crazy for this one as i think Memphis is the better team, but the Grizzlies haven't had anytime game time to gel. I know they're a "veteran" team, but they're getting Gay back into the lineup after missing a chunk of the year (most of their run was without him). Then Conley/Gasol didn't play in either pre-season game. Also Spurs have the better bench. Spurs should be motivated to get this game after getting trucked in the playoffs by these guys.
