ON a 10-0 run in the CFL going all the way back to Week 3. Two wagers for me this week. Going Dog Dog here, I'm actually leaning on every dog on the board
Good Luck FELLAS
WINNIPEG +3.5 ( 2 units )

#3 Posted: 8/15/2012 12:21:25 AM Congrats on the run 44 dimes! I've tailed you on some of them!
I noticed ur on Montreal for Friday night. I did read that RB Brandon Whitaker is questionable for Friday. How much if at all do you think him playing or not playing in that game will affect Montreal and how much is he worth to the pointspread in your opinion 44 dimes? How much will Montreal miss him if he doesn't play?

Here's the thing with Montreal. They don't run the ball very often and this is why their last in the league in rushing averaging only 75 YPG. So I'm not really that concerned. By the way you can downgrade Whitaker to doubtful as of this morning or at least according to his last tweet. He mentions ""SEE YOU ALL NEXT THURSDAY" What Trestman did the last couple of games is rotate his offensive Line bringing in fresh bodies on 2nd and long. The problem with the Alouettes this year is that the pocket is collapsing around AC and he's been getting hammered. Give him time with and throw in the best receiving corps in the CFL. He'll do the the job for you.
My only regret here is not waiting. I think this line goes up to 2 or 2.5 because of the Boyd acquisition.

#13 Posted: 8/16/2012 6:30:56 PM Great start to the year Dimes.
I was looking to play Montreal too but the Whittaker injury is big. Normally running backs in this league are a dime a dozen but Whittaker is different, he's a great blocker and more importantly an excellent receiving back. He is Calvillo's go to man when he's in trouble and on 2nd and short/medium. He actually leads the team in receptions and receiving TD's. I also saw that Jamel Richardson is doubtful and yesterday Trestman said it was unlikely he would even be on the flight to Edmonton with a hamstring injury he suffered yesterday in practice (may explain some line movement). Good spot as a whole for the better team getting points but injuries keeping me off.
GL this week buddy and keep spanking the books.

To be honest I'm not liking it as much as I did earlier in the week. I agree the line movement is based on a combination of Richardson, Whitaker and Boyd.

#17 Posted: 8/18/2012 12:54:13 AM Too good of a spot for MTL. They are far better than EDM and easily overcame the injuries with capable fill-ins. Good call sticking with this one, should have pulled the trigger myself.

#18 Posted: 8/18/2012 5:16:24 AM Really impressed on the way you read right through these 2 games even with all of the injuries. Normally i would have chickened out of my wager with all of the line and juice movement on the als-eskimos game, but i had faith! Thank you! |
