was just looking over my playoff predictions thread from last season and got some nolstagia. i can say it almost went according to plan i got about 70% right but im thinking maybe i was off by one year..

i knew we werent going to have a battle of #1 seeds for Super Bowl, that there would be 2 upsets in the divisional round, that 3 playoffs teams in the conference finals the previous season would not make it to playoffs, but i was wrong that the regular season MVP wouldnt make it to the Super Bowl and that a past SB winning QB and coach not named Brady and Belichick would win it all.

i know this will sound lazy but i will be using the same predictions from last year with a few changes. for next season i firmly believe that it will happen again, that the trend for favorites will be completely reversed this time.. last season was just the beginning but the favorite still prevailed overall in the playoffs.

 2017-18 will be...
 the year of the underdog.

Prediction #1: One #1 seed, if not possibly both, won't make it to the Super Bowl.. That was last year but This time i strongly believe both #1 seeds wont make it to SB52. Most recent seasons that has happened was 1997-98, 2008-09, 2010-11 and 2012-13. Maybe we'll see a #2 vs #4 in the Super Bowl

Prediction #2: There will be at least 2 underdog upsets in the divisional round in this year's playoffs. and i'd like to add there will be 2 underdog upsets in the Wildcard round as well as an upset in the conference finals...

Prediction #3: There will be 3 teams that played in the conference finals last season that did not make it to the playoffs. im going to say only 2 wont make it this time..

Prediction #4: The player that wins the regular season MVP Award his team will not make it to the Super Bowl. I was wrong last season. Are we going to see 3 straight make it to the Super Bowl after Cam Newton and Matt Ryan? i dont think so... one and done..

Prediction #5: The winner of this year's Super Bowl will be a team that has won it before led by a past Super Bowl winning QB not named Brady. Well, i was half right but unfortinately it was TB12. Will the Patriots win back to back championships?i hope not... and i dont think its time yet we get to see a first time SB QB winning it all, maybe in 2018-19 and maybe he'll be the 1st regular season MVP to win it all since Kurt Warner

A bit tired of seeing most of the same teams appeared in the playoffs, years after years, Patriots, Packers, Broncos, Steelers, Seahawks, Chiefs, and Texans.... i would like to see some other fresh teams play in the postseason or even make it to the big dance. Rams, Titans, Bills, or even the Browns?? haha.

I'm with you Europa.  i'm seeing a

SF 49ers vs. Cleveland Browns SUPER BOWL!!!!

This will be the FIRST time NFC vs. NFC to completely guarantee an NFC win!

This should be an all time viewing record.  Some where in the low 20's I'm thinking.

agreed.

i predict we wont be seeing half of those teams you mentioned next year. i'll be bold to say the Texans, Steelers and dare i say the Packers will miss the postseason

and that the Rams might surprise a few people. of course that depends where Romo goes. i dont think it'll be the Texans or Broncos like the popular opinion seems to be.

What I'm really hoping is that the Pats come down to earth a little bit. I'd like to see the AFC not have to go through Foxborough for a change.

Bold Prediction 1: Cowboys & Falcons don't make the playoffs

Bold Prediction 2: Skins don't tag Cousins, lock him into a long-term deal, and fail to win 7 games

Bold Prediction 3: Titans acquire Alshon Jeffery, win the AFC South, and 3rd overall in the AFC

Bold Prediction 4: Raiders narrowly miss out on a wild card spot

Bold Prediction 5: Pittsburgh wins the AFC as the 5 seed
