* The recieving team will not bother trying to run the ball, they will just take the touchback and free 5 extra yards. Most returns end up at the 15-25 yard line anyway so now they are guaranteed the ball at the 25 yard line theres no point trying to return it = gonna be less fun returns and just boring.
* Trying to kick it to the 2-3 yard line is now more risky, because if it fails they get +5 extra yards on top of the 20 yards theyre already getting. So its better to try to punt it to the 10 yard line to be on the safe side.
* Why do you want teams to get even better field possession than they already have? We have the highest scoring games in the history of NFL now you wanna add something to push scores even higher?

to reduce runbacks on kickoff, thereby reducing the massive collisions (especially concusssions) that happen more often on those plays (which neither owners nor players want).
the nfl is paying huge money b/c of concussions (and later in life after effects of them). they are making a good faith effort to curb them.
it makes the kickoff pretty much pointless. i think it would be great to ask the players what they think of it.

Exactly this guys got it. It's just to make the game more safe. Worse for the fans better for the players
