I have never messed with teasers, but I think I see potential value in them. A strategy I thought up would take 6 bets you like already against the spread and tease them 6 points across 4 different 3-leg teasers. I would make sure at least 2 of them are on a .5 line to minimize pushes. I'd buy half a point if 2 or all 3 are on a flat number. Basically a $10 sacrifice to make a push a win and a loss a push too when necessary.
Teasers would group bet #s together as such: 1-2-3, 1-4-5, 2-4-6, 3-5-6 . . . So you essentially spread a 6-leg teaser to where 5 out of 6 guarantees a profit of one betting unit plus. You also save one with 4 wins or even the correct 3. One bad thing is you can never hit 3 of the 4.
Each would be for $100 and payoff $260 a piece, $250 if I buy the half point. So hitting 2 would give me a $500-$520 return. All 4 a $1,000-$1,040 payoff on the $400 play.
Already going to do this week 1, but I am curious on thoughts about the expectancy over the course of the whole season?

teasers are a sucker bet man, typically there is games that just dont go your way and teasing them can't save you. Personally I dont do it. Butttttt if you do… never tease across 0. We see so many favs go down a week that teasing -8 to -1 won't save you much. If you must tease.. tease totals.

Always thought not necessarily sucker bet, but that you don't get paid enough to make it worth trying to hit several. So yeah instead of just putting 6 on a single one, just keep each one at 3 so those times you miss one still profits. Guess I am setting it up like keno in a sense.
I was thinking about just teasing totals. I do have 2 sides teased with 4 totals, which going in does feel easier to say okay these two teams WILL score or shouldn't score too much, and give you what feels like a lot more room than getting 6 points for a side. My 2 sides do basically eliminate a 6-pt spread to ML and a 5-pt spread to +1 so hopefully no burns there.
That being said, I just feel like hitting 3 or in my case any 5 of 6 to profit can be achieved, getting 6-6.5 points. Then the times I do hit 6. I guess I'll try it a couple weeks, see how it goes, and adjust if necessary. I don't have any issues betting straight up ATS, so I'll simply consider this a test run.
