If they added a few pieces in the draft they could take the nfc east this year, instead they trade up and give away a bunch of picks for someone who will sit and watch for a year or two? Why didn't they stay at 8 and take Elliot or staley or bosa etc who can help them win now? Anyone think this was a good move for the eagles?

To move up 11 spots to get the 2nd pick this year. Giving up Alonso and Maxwell to swap picks and free up space made so much sense if Schwartz didn't want them. But the whole package now for a QB the Rams don't want? Wentz & Goff are clearly one level below recent prospects, e.g. such as Winston, Mariota & Bridgewater.
The Eagles signed Bradford for $35M and made Daniel the best paid backup at $21M for three years. They made it clear that Bradford will be the starting QB. So why give up the house on a QB that isn't even worth the 2nd pick alone?
If I am the Eagles, I would go with Jalen Ramsey, as stupid as it sounds to not take a QB now. With Ramsey, the Eagles defense would be set for the next four years. The only missing piece is a #1 corner and Ramsey has shown the flexibility to also play safety.

Ramsey would be a good pick. I have heard conspiracy theories that they moved up to steal Ezekial Elliot from the cowboys or that they want tonsil, both of those moves make more sense then taking another qb. The gm sounded crazy at the press conference saying he knows they are going to get the guy they want, but he doesn't know who the rams are taking so he couldn't be sure then the whole chocolate and vanilla analogy?

Seems like a bad move unless you consider the Browns clearly think that the Rams are taking the QB they wanted. If history proves anything then number 2 pick will be 1st ballot HOFer.

If Wentz is their guy than go for it. If he becomes a top tier qb than it they made the right move.
That trade only gets done if they are looking at qb. Makes no sense to it for a lt or db. Looking like the top of the draft is gonna go 1 Goff 2 Wentz. 3 Tunsil 4 Bosa

Exactly. Sam Bradford is a great pocket passer, he needs protection, an offensive line not another start QB

sorry late to the convo here, but yes...yes they are. In light of the Sam Bradford resign this is just banana pants bonkers. Even if their QB pick pans out as an OK player, what they've given up this year is just too steep IMO.
