Derek carr is the real deal... I doubted him coming out of college but he has definitely showed he has "it"
Great poise and decision making.. excellent arm strength..
I think he learned a lot from what his brother went through in houstin.. if they can get a few good olinemen and a real #1 receiver he has a shot at being a real good qb

I don't know about all that, he is undersized and he plays for the Raiders. One of the two has been enough to doom most but having to overcome both would be to overcome quite the odds.

Build a line around him that is all-pro, give him a legit number one...watch him soar.
It isn't the line. He's one of the fewest sacked qb's in the league. It's the running game that's struggled. This thread should've been titled, Raiders have a RB. We already knew they had a QB. Murray is going to be a star in this league.

Yeah I saw him earlier in the year and he didn't have the stuff
The way I capped the game I said it was key how he handled the KC rush because KC lives on the sack and the Raiders rarely get sacked. He had incredible pocket presence, he seemed to know exactly when he was being rushed and where, and had the feet to escape the rush. he obviously and has a strong arm, and you could tell he loves his teammates. What he's missing sometimes is accuracy, but not tonight. And he doesn't throw picks. With a running game he's much better off-the Raiders had a great game from Murray, very unfortunate to see him get a concussion. McFadden was terrible, Reece was better.
That said, it's just one game. They were one missed 4th down conversion from another loss...people overreact to wins and losses. But I've seen enough tonight to know as you said he has "it" and agree with FadeThisXen give up the 1st round pick get some players.
It also should be put in context, the Chiefs looked like a tired team in the 1st half. Short week, last game against the Seahawks
Whew...on to capping the next games, this biz is what it is don't spend your time celebrating

Carr didn't make the big mistake today and played well on the last drive but he has played mostly horrific this season .. im not buying Carr will be the future of the Raiders if they have a chance to get Mariota or Winston than Carr should be benched or traded .. as far as Latavius Murray? watched him play last week at San Diego and knew the Raiders would be able to move the ball with him running it .. after what he did in the first half tonight I have to say I haven't seen a Raider running back run with that kind of power speed and authority since Bo Jackson way back in the day .. I agree he will be star in the NFL

I can agree to that other than Carr's a rookie, so I'm giving him some slack-I've never seen him play as well as he did today. He stepped up, hard to believe he'll regress from here

Carr can only do some much... since i live in California ive watched every raider cuz, not by choice.. carr doesn't have any play makers around him, he cant do it all by himself.. look what happened to brady when gronk went down.. if the raiders can get carr a real playmaker he will flourish

we totally agree on gronk....look at the patriots with gronk, and with
he's the best tight end in the game when he's healthy...that would be WHEN healthy
I'll always remember that "boot" issue with Gronk in the Super Bowl...was he hurt, or was he not, turns out he was, lost a chunk of change on that one as I was on the Pats. That's what I get for pressing on making a Super Bowl play. Woulda helped if Wes Welker made that overhead catch
