This two weeks between games is brutal and taking away all the momentum of a good season and playoffs.
I took:
- Seattle +2.5 for a unit. - Seattle ML +120 for a unit.
If it jumps to 3+ I'll probably add onto it with another unit. Looking into a possible -3.5 or -7.5 alternative bet.
I'll hop back before the big game for my thoughts on the game along with a few props that I think i might have an edge on. Tough game to cap and should be a good one, but I think Seattle rolls here.
Going to two different SB parties so can't wait to hear lame people gossip about the commercials while I creep about high as a kite on oxy and stuffing my face with loads of food and a gallon of water. :)

Rolling for 3 weeks in a row with Russell Wilson no ints (+120) and under passing yards for the Seahawks opponent.
I think this one is going to be a nail-biter, but think Seahawks pull it out. I truly hope the Seahawks are down 4 with 3 minutes left, and the ball at the 20 yard line. That is the definition of Russell Wilson time.
Win or lose, after this game people will finally give the Seahawks secondary the props it deserves. I've watched a lot of football in the last 15 years, and I can't believe more people are not in awe of the Seahawks secondary. I personally have never, ever seen a better one in my lifetime.

Mac, Frito, earth, Europa, and xanthax....thanks fellas!! GL to u guys as well.
Did a few props to add to my card. Nothing crazy as it seems like the lines are tight and everything seems juiced to hell with my locals.
Final bets:
Seattle +2.5 for 1 unit. Seattle ML +125 for 1 unit.
Seattle -3.5 +170 for 1/2 unit.
Seahawks completions OVER 17 EV. Wilson OVER 31.5 rushing yards -120. Baldwin OVER 3.5 rec +120 Baldwin OVER 41.5 yards -120.
Those last four props are all 1/4 of a unit. It might be a childish way to approach things going with all Seattle props, but way I see it, i think most or all of them will hit in the scheme of things win or lose. I think Seattles offense is seriously being overlooked and they are gonna shine today. Another way I'm looking at things is lets say I'm wrong with Seattle and Den wipes them out.....LOTS of garbage time throwing and scrambling by Wilson that SHOULD put them over on those props. So the props can soften the load of my Seahawks bets getting wiped out.

Goodluck man, 23-17 Seahawks IMO
Games like this will keep me betting sports for the rest of my life. I knew Seattle's secondary was unbeatable, wish I woulda bet more. great season

Great call, Earth Wake. Hopefully you cleaned up and finished the season strong. I've seen u post here on Covers the last few years or so and always "lurked" in your threads, but last few weeks we started a little back and forth and I hope we can continue that next season. Might be only a dozen truly great cappers(regulars I should say) left on this site that aren't just straight up OBNOXIOUS with the fade this, fade that, Vegas this, Vegas that, games are fixed mentality and you are one of the few. Hopefully next year, we can continue to go back and forth and keep bringing good and pertinent information to the guys who DO NOT feed into the new age BS way of betting football and keep good honest threads going to make money for all involved.
Lol, just saw I wound up 36th in the covers playoff pool. Lol, that should be good for a Covers hat! Could have been a whole lot higher if I didnt get robbed with vicious backdoors with Saints(at Seattle) and SD(at Denver).
Biscuits, Cowboys, Louis 4, and NYYhillbilly, thanks for the well wishes. I didnt see your posts until now so I hope u guys hit and cashed in good.
As for the game itself, Seahawks kicked a$$ like I thought, although I would be a liar if I said I knew the final would be 43-8. I was saying all week, maybe a 34-17 or a 41-24 kind of game, but Seattle was crazy good tonight.
Nailed every prop I bet except for the Wilson over 31 rushing yards one which fell a few yards short. Damned refs took away a 5, 8, and a 15 yard scramble back on penalties or would have been a sweep! Also cashed on a few dopey props that I didnt post for various reasons like Seattle to win the coin toss, Hauscka over 1.5 FG, Seattle alternate line -7.5, and Omaha under 28.5 times(think I hit that but didnt check). I didnt post the coin toss or Omaha as those brought nothing to the forum other than luck, and the FG and -7.5 wagers, I just didnt feel 100% confident enough to make it public as I would have hated if even one person tailed me and say Seattle wins 31-24 and I cost someone cash. If I'm gonna post, I always try to stick to wagers I can 100 percent back up and feel confident on.
Just want to thank the guys who post in my threads on a weekly basis. I appreciate every comment, every piece of into, every play(wherever for or against my lean/play). YOU GUYS genuinely help me on a weekly basis, and while betting on the NFL is a long convoluted process, one of the things that helps me is knowing I can "talk out loud" with a good group of guys and get positive feedback whether through good karma or productive back and forth breaking down plays. Also, knowing I'm gonna take 10-15 minutes and write up a long paragraph or two to back my wagers, I have to double check my info/stats/etc to make sure my information I'm bringing to the table is correct. Which makes me do more homework to have a comprehensive and ACCURATE thread of info which leads me doing more research and more research is never a bad thing. So THANK YOU to all the regulars! From week 1, through some hand picked random college games, through the Breeders Cup, through week 17 in the pros, through bowl games, and finally the NFL Super Bowl, THANK YOU to all the regulars who helped me along the way. I look forward to seeing you guys next September! I'm a hardcore MLB guy and I always say I'm gonna post my daily baseball plays through summer and when I hit my goal, but the everyday grind and nature of baseball usually has me stop posting and being more of a lurker by mid April. But I will definitely be back for football in 8 months.

Cya next year much respect mah man or March Madness?
Do you do hoops glyde?
Right back at you, MacWest!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again, you might be the class of thisentire forum. You are a good capper, a good guy, and never a bad word for anyone......unless they deserve it.
Hoops is definitely not my game. A few years back I experimented with a couple seasons of an NBA run. I grinded out a decent record and picked up a handful of units slowly and over time, and also used the covers contest as something to track a half a dozen different "systems" and "angles," but overall it was a waste. I'm sure if I really put my mind to it, I could grind out a few bucks, but IMO hoops is the hardest sport on the planet to master(i'm sure folks can argue that), and SO MUCH boils down to free throws and the final 45 seconds of madness. Too many x factors for me to handle without blowing a gasket.
Quick example, last weekend I was bored. I bet and nailed 3 games on friday night(small 50 dollar bets),and then lost one on Saturday. So Sunday afternoon I'm bored out of my mind, my plans with my stepdaughter and my nieces got squashed(was gonna take the gaggle of geese to dinner and to see Frozen but it fell apart last minute), I'm up 95 bucks and said F it, I'm gonna let it ride. So broke down the couple of games and I LOVED the Lakers in that spot against the Knicks. I have the Lakers +6.5 I believe. They came to play and were covering that number for literally the first 47:30 minutes of the game before the Knicks went up a couple buckets late and now its FT time. Knicks hit theirs to go up 7, and then under 15 seconds, the Lakers run down and miscommunication leads to a turnover. Knicks inbound and the Lakers yield. Ate me up that I didn't have a chance for even an attempt at what would have been a game covering 3 pointer. Then they could have fouled...the knicks hit their FT to go up 9, and then another shot for a desperatrion 3 to make it a 6 point win.
Just too many variables and if I watch 30 NBA games that had the same exact breakdown late as that Knicks-Laker game did, those 30 games would all be unique finishes. Who fouls, who doesn't? Who yields, who fouls from a 3 point to an 11 point game? Which coaches manage their time outs good, which coaches have none leaving their team inbounding and running desperately down the court when you need that last second bucket for the cover? Which teams choke hitting FT, which teams have ice water in their veins? Which teams airball the desperation 3, which teams drain them? Which coaches play hard D up 6 with 20 seconds, which coaches cover the edge and give their opponent the layup? And don't you love it when you cap an 8 point dog to PERFECTION, your squad is covering all 48 minutes, and the game goes to OT and you get outscored 15 to 4 in OT? Or you have over 212.5 and they score 125 in the first half only to come out for a 18-17 third quarter and then a bunch of missed FT have you lose by a hook in the end?
Just too much for me to handle. Me personally, I can't honestly say I have an edge in a sport that is so crazy in the last 30 seconds.
All that said, oome March Madness, I will be creeping around and wind up 11-8 in posted plays with my threads having 111 views and 6 replies all with me talking to myself.
MacWestie, keep doing your thing, and I hope to see you on the boards whether March Madness, MLB, or in September once the REAL futbol begins!

Great hit bro. Swept the big game myself. Always nice to end the season with a win.
I'll be popping in from time to time on the forums to post in your threads next season.
Andy! Great job nailing the big one. Once you pulled the switcheroo in the NFC championship to Seattle, I had a feeling you were going NFC/Seattle all the way. Good stuff, man.
As for next year, I hope you get back here full time so I can post in YOUR threads! That way at least if I'm babbling on and on, it will be to 15,000 people with 75 great replies from the regulars, instead of 2,000 people and 25 replies(half of them ME).
Be good, bro, and I hope 2014 is a good year for you and your family. I might be coming up to Niagara Falls/Ontario this summer with my stepdaughter(she mentioned she wanted to go again as she had a blast 7-8 years ago when me and the ex took her up there once for a quick spring break vacation(jeez time flies, she was only in 4th grade then) .....but if I make it up there, we gotta meet up for a beer. First round's on me!

Cal Bear, I hit you up in your thread a few hours ago. Keep bangin' them and I hope to see you around the boards(maybe MLB or hoops) before the 2014 NFL/NCAA season begins. You possibly are the best football capper right now on this entire board. Whatever you are doing, keep it up.

I still feel like I'm dreaming. Whether it was how drunk I was, or a goddamn safety to start the game, what a night.
I never thought Seattle would do that to Denver. I was going into the game saying if it was anyone but Denver or SF, they might shut them out. I just never thought they would dominate Denver in every way shape and form. Everyone I was watching with was going for Denver and they were eager to change the channel in the 2nd half, I was just sitting there with a huge grin on my face. My highlight of the night was prolly the pick 6. I had a few bucks on Manning to throw a pick 6 and I cant believe he did. Just that feeling I had when he was going to the house is indescribable.
What a great game I will remember for a long time. Kind of pissed RW didn't win MVP, but that would just be icing on the cake right now. Thanks for the kind words, i wish you nothing but success and continued success in the future. You are a solid capper. As I type this I still feel like I'm dreaming haha. 43-8 Seattle what the hell did I just see. A dynasty is the making??
