are you serious?  the ravens have come up short with golden opportunities in the last 4 years and have 1 more chance to seal the deal.  lets review is:
2008:  they came 6 mins short of a chance to go to the superbowl before a flacco pick 6 and a chance to come back on the steelers
2010:  they had a 14 point lead at halftime in the divisional round vs steelers. they choked in the 2nd half
2011:  a dropped pass in the endzone and a missed fg to get to the superbowl

now 2013?    THE LAST RIDE AND LAST CHANCE?  no more blown opportunities.  THEY WIN

164 reads on this thread and 3 posts.  well, read this.  these 2 teams played each other on thanksgiving night last year and the ravens sacked this "god given" O line 9 fuckin times!  this defense will reload and repeat because look at the niners schedule, really?

we are talking about a coach in his 2nd year coaching in the nfl and a basic rookie  QB playing in his 7th game of his nfl career and all of a sudden we will crown him a superbowl king with this "pistol" offense?   wake up guys

I think it carries weight when  comparing o line only to the d line of the Ravens

wait, you mean they sacked ALEX SMITH...  You're talking about one QB who can't scramble to save his life and one of the top scrambles in the league in Kaepernick.  What a false view, not even comparable.

Alex Smith can too scramble! Albeit not a pure runner like kaepernicks but he can move around pretty good!

..you're serious?  You've never watched him from 2005-2011.  In 2012 he was rarely put in the position where he needed to scramble, and most of the times he was told to just "play it safe" and go down due to his lack of scramble capabilities.

Alex smith was sacked 44 times last year in 16 games but still went to the NFC Championship.

Alex was sacked 24 times in 10 games this year after getting yanked and Colin was sacked 16 times in 13 games, including 2 playoff games.  Gonna be hard to convince me that Colin will get sacked as many times as Alex did last year vs BAL, or anywhere near as close.

It's the Ravens time. Ed Reed, Suggs, Boldin, Matt Birk. All veteran players and battle hardened. Ray Lewis has propelled this team to a team of destiny. The NFL loves a good story and them winning and sending Ray Lewis off with a SB victory is a great story. 

Great point regarding a qb that has played in 9 games. That inexperience has got to rear it's head and this is the spot. I believe the Ravens will exploit this and it'll be the difference.

SF is a great team and will be for the forseeable future and will get plenty of opportunities, just not here.

And if you say Alex Smith couldn't scramble, you didn't watch any football. The guy is mobile and I believe he had 6 rushes for 42 yards in last years NFCCG. The hot air in this site...
