everyone keeps talking about this game, ya seattle spanked SF but to me that was no where near as important as this game is. Just dont believe Harbaugh will let that happen in this game, IMO i think SF D will have Ryan running all game long. Ya Atlanta got the monkey off the back but now they have to keep Niners off thier back and i dont think Atlanta front line on O will stop the front Dline from SF. IMO,, Gl whoever your on

Atlanta doesn't have the ability to smack anybody in the mouth they are an above average team that benefited from a very weak schedule and they don't like running the ball which will be their downfall after SF forces them into one dimensional pass happy game where they will get physically girl slapped. SF D steps up big this week. Atl lucky to be here and are satisfied w/ first playoff win for these guys in last 100 years......emotional win and content....SF on a business trip....cash it!

An important factor in handicapping is knowing what games to dismiss or not put much stock into. I was all over sea in this matchup because it was a horrendous spot for SF who just came off a signature win at Foxboro on national tv, then asked to travel 3k miles into one of, if not the toughest venues against a seattle team who was eager to avenge an earlier season loss. Anybody using this game in analyzing this wks matchup w/atl is making a huge mistake. This is a game I've dismissed.

No one should have to dismiss any game any NFL team plays.SF studied the game film suited up, didn't have to travel to far north and played the game. They just met up with imo one of the best defenses in the NFL in Seattle who did their own homework and  found out that SF wasn't really that good and proceeded to put the beat down on them. Its part of the record and should remain part of the record. You cant take certain games and just sweep them under the rug and then pretend they don't exist. SF scored 21 points off turnovers @ NE when NE and the RB etc gave them the game. Smoke and mirrors win. 27-34 SF loss if that doesnt happen.

Wizer- no disrespect taken. I just feel throughout the yr there will be a game or two where a team just doesn't show up for whatever reason, whether it be being in a baf spot, not getting up for a game, etc that I do not look past. Nonetheless, there are infinite ways to approach a game/capping...to each his own. GL bud

What does Seattle beating 49ers have to do with anything...

It was coming off big win vs Tom Brady, going across country and playn in a real hostile place where Seattle was undefeated

Btw Seattle has a great, physical D, Atlanta Doesn't !!!!!
ATL = NO PASS RUSH !!!!

Did you see how much time Russell Wilson had.....Tebow can throw for 300 yds if give that much time

Its like comparing apples and oranges...

anybody who is looking at the Seattle - SF game, and taking Atlanta in this game, based on what they saw in that game... should probably take a break from betting... that game couldn't possibly offer a handicapping angle for this game...

There are a few cover parrots just sayin that over and over again in every thread, their simple minded logic is, oh Seattle beat SF and we beat Seattle, so we are the better team...lmao

I agree, you cannot dismiss any game, especially the LAST 4 or 5 games.  All superbowl teams play their best football down the stretch.

To ignore how Sea dismantled SF is like saying you should pardon a murderer for a few unrelated petty crimes.

They rushed for over 100 yards last week against a very good Seattle D....btw. Also, NO. 1 seeds are 6-0 in NFC Championship games. Dirty Birds at home are practically unbeatable with Matty Ice, and the public is 6-1 on San Fran.........that never bodes well. Birds win outright and go to SB

CalBear is dead on.  People need to bring up the game in Foxboro the week before the Seattle game.  They go together in my opinion.  It was an obvious let down spot from one of the biggest games of the season for SF.

chargerfan - then how you obviously can't dismiss all the shitty teams ATL has played at home this year to pad their "awesome home record"

charlielo55 - Sea does have a very good D.  SF's rushing defense is far superior all around than Seattles though.  Don't expect old man Turner to do much.  If they can contain jizz, their running game will be non-existent.  Harbaugh will outcoach Smith in every facet of this game.

completely disagree but that's why they play the game. That 6-0 trend to me only means a lower seed is due and let's be real it's the #2 seed they are playing not a 3-6. GL though

How can you not out coach Smith???

He tried onside kick for no reason at end of game to give Seattle ball @ 50 and shot at winning
