This year's race for MVP has turned into a 3-man race between Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and Adrian Peterson.

Some think Aaron Rodgers has crept into the conversation as well but would need to make up a lot of ground in the final two weeks.

Peyton Manning
 - 4,016 Yards  31 TD
 - 10 INT / 2 Fumbles = 12 TO
 - 31 TD / 12 Turnovers : Ratio = 2.58

Notable Wins: Steelers, Ravens

Tom Brady
- 4,276 Yards  30 TD
- 6 INT / 0 Fumbles = 6 Turnovers
- 30 TD / 6 Turnovers : Ratio = 5.0

Notable Wins: Broncos, Texans

Adrian Peterson
- 1,812 Yards
- 6.3 YPC
- 11 TD
- 129.4 Yards per Game

Notable Accomplishment - Leading his team into playoff contention with a below-average QB.

As good as Peterson has been this year, I think the Vikings would need to make the playoffs for him to get it. If the Vikings fall short, I think you have to turn your focus to Brady or Manning.

Manning is doing it all with a brand new offense but a top 10 defense. Brady is doing it with a bottom of the league defense and has the head-to-head win.

If you had a vote, who would it be for and why?

ap all day. imagine this 8 man in the box and he still rips every defense in the behind whole for 100 plus yards. imagine if u took peterson out. how the hell would they score. peterson slightly over manning. brady is just doing his thing every year.

Adrian- Brady and Manning have other play makers around them, Peterson basically has nothing, without him the vikings are lucky to win 2 games, No case for Manning IMO, Broncos made playoffs last year with Tebow, proof of what Manning has around him as a team, its not just him, Brady is Brady, hard to say what Pats would be without him but they at least have other quality players surrounding him in the offense

Thats my opinion Manning probably gets comeback player

Agreed. Every defense he faces is trying to stop only him, and he still rips them. Still can't give it to him if Vikings miss the playoffs though in my opinion

AP if the Vikes make the Playoffs ... if not, then split it up between AP and Manning, just one man change (Manning for Tebow) has Denver in SuperBowl consideration, thats what I call MOST VALUABLE ...

What if Minn miss the playoffs but AP breaks Dickerson's rushing record, would you give it to him?

Peterson for me.

If I had a vote, i'd never give it to someone on a team that doesn't make the playoffs. What's good about an MVP that can't even lead his team to the playoffs? Rushing yards is one thing, but you need to have a bigger impact on your team to win the MVP than just getting yards.

AP (after ACL, MCL and meniscus) he needs only 147 yds to break Dickerson's record.  He is not human.

peyton should win comeback player of the year

if viking make playoffs AP should win mvp

brady is my number two. he doesnt have a sick defence like manning and potential defensive mvp. also add 4 rushing td's to his numbers.

peyton is my #3. like someone said above. they made playoffs without him last year too

IMO I have Peterson winning the Comeback player of the year

and Peyton winning the MVP.

I bet you Russell Wilson gets a vote or two

I guess my definition is a bit different than yours. To me, MVP is just what it means, the most valuable to a team, the player a team can least afford to lose, the record would mostly be affected otherwise, playoffs or not.

It's funny that ppl say "Manning it's not even close"

Manning's numbers are almost the same as Brady's, but Brady has less int's. They will probably give it to the poster child Manning and then give comeback player of the year to AP or they both share it.

I kinda hope Manning wins the Regular season MVP. The last time a regular season MVP to win the award AND the superbowl was  K.Warner back in '99 I think it was.

Peterson should win this its amazing what hes doing tore the hell out of his knee less than a year ago and the thought was they would bring him along slowly and limit his carries early in season and now he has a chance to break the single season rushing record when everyone knows hes getting the ball.Would also give comeback player of year to Peterson too and Rookie to Rg3

Yea he could but R.Wilson has also been pretty good this year ae.

Like Brady for MVP, Keep in mind 2 of them INT's came on SNF and they were not due to him making a bad pass. So really could make that only 4 INT's and then he has some rushing TD's. in my opinion and that is all it is he is just lights out and just because he is doing what he does every year does not mean its not MVP performance, you think with a back up QB they would have same record. Hell no.

Just my 2 cents

Manning should not have gotten the award in 2009. That year it belonged to Kurt Warner. ... This year it should go to Peterson if the Vikes make the playoffs. Otherwise, Manning will get MVP #5.

My thoughts.

Yeah, but without AP Vikings could easily be a 1 win team, possibly winless. He is the whole team. To me, with that being said, and the absurd numbers he's putting up this year, hand's down MVP for me.
