Well Week 12 was FINALLY a Solid bounceback Week for me! I had been on quite the Skid going into lastweek but I was able to Post a Solid 7-3-1 Record last week. I wanna say Thank You to the guys who stuck with me through my Rough Patch and hopefully, it's time to Reap the Benefits of those Poor Weeks... This week, I will look to continue posting Solid and informative Picks.
I do not know if im going to Post all of my Week 13 Picks inside of this thread, as it might get too congested and become annoying to sift thru in order to find the actual Picks. So for now, I'll just be Posting my Week 13 Thursday Night Pick, as well as my "Leans" for the rest of Week 13.... Onto the good stuff:
Thursday Night Pick:
Philadelphia Eagles -8 vs Houston Texans: This is VERY against the grain for me! If youve followed me at all this season, you'll notice that I have a "love affair" with these awful Houston Texans, infact, it goes back a couple yrs, this isnt the 1st yr that i've become obsessed with picking them every week. But this particular week, I dont see any value in them, whatsoever! They're coming off a BIG Win versus the Titans, who were an Absolute MESS this Past Week... Houstons BIGGEST Weakness is their Atrocious Pass Defense which Ranks DEAD LAST in the NFL, but the Titans had Rusty Smith hurling the ball and he looked absolutely AWFUL, which is to be expected from a 4th string quality QB but when you cant even look "decent" against the Leagues WORST Secondary, something is VERY wrong! Houstons poor Defense pitched a Shutout against the Titans but make NO mistake about it, theyre still AWFUL!!! The Texans Rush Defense looks OK on paper but I think this is more a result of teams just passing on them all day, plus their Overall Defense still ranks in the bottom 5 in Total Yds allowed so they really cant stop anyone... Except Rusty Smith. Mario Williams and the Texans front 7 will "try to" emulate the Giants and Bears front 7, but first off, they arent nearly as good as the aforementioned, and secondly, the other 2 teams had decent/good secondarys to play man to man when necessary, the Texans secondary is HURRENDOUS! Andy Reid LOVES to pass and he must be Licking his Chops for this Matchup!!! I honestly cant see the Texans stopping the Eagles Offense, AT ALL... I could see another Washington-Type of start for the Eagles, just looking Dominant Offensively early on. Houston Winning at Home lastweek and the Eagles Losing on the Road last week just made this pick SO MUCH Sexier for me!!! Now the Texans travel into a hostile Philly atmosphere and the Eagles return Home. I was watching an interview with Brent Celek and he said the 2 biggest focuses this week will be Red Zone Conversions and I remembered Vick continuosly saying he "Must be better on 3rd downs in the RZ and that he Must be better in the Red Zone altogether", and apparently, this is a HUGE focus of theirs this week. The other focal point will be "Tackling" according to Celek, as their Defense Missed far too many open field tackles against the Bears. I believe Asante Samuel will be back this week, which will immediately impact this defense in a positive way. Andy Reids a GREAT Coach and I expect the Eagles to immediately improve their Tackling and RZ Efficiency. The Eagles are the FAR Superior Team in this Matchup but the Texans do have a chance if they can establish their Run early on and work off of it with their Play Action Pass. I expect Reid to Run-blitz early on to keep Foster from having a BIG start, with how awesome the Texans running game has been, I dont know if Reid will be able to stop it altogether but hopefully he will slow down Foster enough. If the Eagles do what Im expecting them to do Offensively, their Best Defense might be to get up A LOT early and Force the Texans to Pass more than theyd like to and thus neutralizing Fosters ability to dominate with his legs. My local tried jerking me around when I called him for the line, knowing I bet Houston EVERY single Week, I asked "Whats the Houston Line?" and he paused and responded, +7.5 so I laughed and said I'll buy it down to -6.5 (-130) and POUND Philly. He initially took my action but then he called me back today and apologized that it was "really at 8" which I knew but figured he tried to juice it in his favor... All in all, I still took it at -6.5 (-140)... YIKES! I know! I HATE Laying that kinda Juice but Im pretty damn confident that Philly will cover ATLEAST 7! (I'm Laying 3 Units @ -6.5 / -140)
Im also "Leaning" Towards the Over 51 but havent decided to play it yet.... Other Leans of mine thus far are Detroit (before the Hill injury, now im not so sure!), Minnesota (awaiting All Day Petersons Status), TB, and Pitt... These are ONLY Leans and I could comeback tomorrow with Chicago, Buffalo, Atlanta, and Baltimore!! Haha, in other words, my "Leans" mean absolutely NOTHING until theyre locked in!! Im also looking VERY closely at the Oakland/SD game, the Carolina/Seattle game, and the NYJ/NE game... All of them might become plays of mine, still decifering some things....
BOL to EVERYONE!!!

Lets Hope the Good-Times ROLL....
