Instead, I like to pick the heavy favorites real early, then by Week 8, you have a lot more information about the middle-of-the-pack teams.

Not saying the Vikes should be a favorite, but I'd much rather risk my survival pick against a crappy Dolphins team or a crappy Bengals team or any other bad team than the Vikes. Combine that with the Chargers' penchant for slow starts, and you may find yourself disappointed.

It's a division game and the Pat's are on the road. Save the road garbage for later in the year when you HAVE to play them.
