#9 Posted: 9/5/2011 5:01:17 AM I usually try to take a home team that is a 4-9 point favorite, but obviously, that doesn't work out all the time. Thanks for everyone's input. |

#12 Posted: 9/5/2011 6:07:30 PM Houston. Last year the Texans kicked their behind. And this year with no Manning, the same thing. |

#17 Posted: 9/5/2011 7:35:19 PM Patriots. Everyone likes to try to pick closer games in the first few weeks. Instead, I like to pick the heavy favorites real early, then by Week 8, you have a lot more information about the middle-of-the-pack teams. |

#19 Posted: 9/5/2011 8:06:14 PM A lot of love for the brownies!! I think they will get it done, but i just don't know if i can trust them! I like Houston or New England myself. I WILL go with the consensus from this thread though. Thanks everyone for the help! |

Chargers - 2, Browns - 4, Rams - 2, and one each for the Cardinals, Texans, Steelers, and Patriots. |

Straight Up. And make it 3 for the chargers now. |

#23 Posted: 9/5/2011 8:18:14 PM Gee, I like the Chargers to win that game, but then again - they are playing Adrian Peterson and a good Vikings defense. Not saying the Vikes should be a favorite, but I'd much rather risk my survival pick against a crappy Dolphins team or a crappy Bengals team or any other bad team than the Vikes. Combine that with the Chargers' penchant for slow starts, and you may find yourself disappointed. |

#24 Posted: 9/6/2011 2:01:19 AM Chargers. If you have more than one selection, take Houston as well.
Stay the hell away from that NE game. It's a division game and the Pat's are on the road. Save the road garbage for later in the year when you HAVE to play them. |

#25 Posted: 9/6/2011 2:24:38 AM I've got 4 survivor teams:
1 - Houston (manning out)
2 - KC (only if cassel is confirmed)
3 - Eagles
4 - Cleveland looks good to roll. |
