as for the $1000 vs $100000, I just started playin again and now on a 4 gamer and I pick everyday. I'm goin for the $100 000 no doubt but once u get to around 10 its time to start being more cautious about ur picks and maybe taking a day or 2 off,,,That's another good thing about this game..U don't have to pick everyday..JMO

Tuppy, how do you not hedge when you get to 20 wins or even 19? it's 100,000$$$!!!!!!!  Are u just inherently wealthy?  Do u NOT HAVE A BOOK? Sorry i just can't comprehend why any logical person wouldn't hedge there, seems silly or even moronic. Anyway congrats for for flipping heads 21 str8 times.

My pick was basktball and involved a spread > I was confident with my pick  and if i could not get the exact same spread to hedge with  i might of got screwed  ......I know people think i was nuts  but that was my decision at the time.

Tuppy, at what point did you " start being more cautious about ur picks and maybe taking a day or 2 off"?

I dont remember  ???would have to go back to check my picks....whenever it was  i did not make a pick unless i felt confident....sometimes i checked the scheduled games 5-6 times a day looking for a pick i liked  because what is available sometimes changes throughout the day.

wow, that's awesome! at your pace i think your one of the few who have a legitimate shot at winning the monthly contest and the 25 streak.
good luck

Hey Tuppy, nice run. I thought you were going to do it again and I was routin for you. As for your not hedging way back when, I like that decision. I believe hedging is for losers. Why throw away half your winnings on a contest that is free to begin with? That is the way I think. Start a new run Tuppy-Good luck.

if you were to go for 100, 000k instead of keeping the 25k it would make more sence to get the 25 k and bet it even money ..

Your 22 pick would get you to 50k and your 23rd pick would get u to 100,000   even if you pick a few favs youd be better off then trying ot make 4 more picks

Tuppy, what do you pay in taxes on a win like that? I would think you probably almost paid almost $30-40k in taxes or something no? I know lottery winnings are taxed 25% by federal and at least in my state (NY) they're taxed another 9%. So you pay out 34% in taxes, I'm assuming other winnings are taxed similarly.
