I am not one to say that Lebron needs 5 or 6 rings to even be in the GOAT discussion, but it's laughable to even discuss until he gets at least 1 championship.  IMO, Lebron has a better defensive game and is a physical specimen, but he has not proven to have the intangibles when it counts.  I don't care about triple doubles...

Your attempt of being funny failed badly, but nice try sir.

I'd honestly say that Derrick Rose is better than Michael Jordan, and much more important also; with Rose they looked like a final team from the West, without Rose they are not even playoffs potential. Michael Jordan wasnt that important to Bulls at that time, they would have won the NBA championships either way; with or without Michael Jordan. They had the best team by far in the league, and their opponents had no clue on how to play defense. It's horrible to look back in time and see how awful defense had been played.

Even Kobe Bryant managed to score 42 points against Michael Jordan in one single half

That human pile of dung isn't even the best player on his team!  Cocaine might be a helluva drug, but you definitely need to set that pipe down playboy...lol!

This thread just goes to show the ignorance that is on this site.
Train69 is right too. He isn't better than Durant, but you can't argue with ignorant people.

Other than scoring the ball what clearly does Durant do better than LBJ?

IMO, what clearly separates the two is that LBJ can and does play the point and is a better passer (by far)

and LBJ is stronger and can at least try and succeed at guarding multiple positions (KD is not strong enough to guard PFs)

this clutch take the last shot stuff is not the be all and end all criteria to determine who is better than who

Lmao, Durant is better than LeBron? Okay, please take this further...

If Durant is better than LeBron then Kyrie irving is better than Michael Jordan.

LeBron is? beating Durant to his knees on athletisism. Durant is a good scorer, thats it so plz shut up, LeBron Knows it all; Block, Steals, Rebound, Assist, Score. And people also tend to underrate his ballhandling etc, he is a great guy for his team. Miami wouldnt be no where near where they are today without this guy, thats fo sho.

Lebron knows it all? Please get off his nuts. I'm not hear to argue as you're intitled to your opinion. Let's just let the rest of the season play out an see who finishes were. I'm not a fan of miami or james but i won't deny the man of his talents.

Everybody has the right to their own opinion. I will always regard Bird as my favorite NBA player of all time. I'm not looking for validation nor am I trying to convince anyone else. It's simply my team and the era I grew up in.  That said, I think even Bird would admit MJ's all-time greatness.  The fact that you could even type that Lebron is 1000 times better than MJ, weakens all of your future opinions on anything!

HUTCHEMALL
Right on the money. Lebron isn't even the alpha male on his own team.

Hutchemall......is that you Ric Bucher?
I heard Ric Bucher say that the other day as a reason why he was struggling to give LBJ his MVP vote.....he said the MVP must be the alpha male?

I am in a fraternity...I know alpha is synonymous with 1st...dominant...leader...etc..etc...
So what exactly is Ric Bucher and you saying???

LBJ led the Heat in every statistical category and carried the Heat when D Wade was hurt......we will never know...but could D Wade have done the same if LBJ was hurt?   In yesteryear....maybe.....but I am not sure if D Wade has the stamina and endurance and durability that LBJ to play multiple positions on offense and defense

So again (besides taking the last shot....and looking at offense exlclusively).....what is alpha male?
And I remind you
LBJ led the Heat in points, rebounds, assists, steals and was probably second on the team in blocks.
For those that think LBJ was given the MVP award...over KD?.....that performance by itself is the epitome of what an MVP is.......not to mention he led the league (AGAIN) in efficiency rating..and top 10 in FG% and was top 5 in the league in steals.

Is LBJ better than MJ....heck no......but the hate he gets is crazy and simple not logical.

Holy darn.... Miami Haters IQ must be way under 60. You are so pathetic if you think Michael Jordan is even close to king LeBron, he is nowhere near. Wow, glad im not a Miami fan on these boards, they are hated more than blacks were in America.
Miami Haters are nothing but idiots, they have no good to say, all they do all they long is hate. "Lebron is the worst player in the league, he sucks behind, moo"!

I'm not a Miami hater. I actually think Lebron is the best player currently playing.  I would also put Durant in the mix.  That said, no NBA writer/analyst/GM/player/sober fan would say Lebron is 1000 times better than MJ. Stop sniffing glue already!

how to compare a good player to a legend

despite everybody has the right to state out their opinion,

but stating that Lebron is better than MJ is like saying you love to eat garbage and it feels delicious.

of course nobody can change your idiot minds since maybe garbage is the only food ye know. debate with such an idiot is just wasting time.
