great first step but after that? he either loses the ball ,gets a charge or throws it up out of control.

I could understand if your a broke college kid and you take the leap because don't want to risk an injury or you already have a family to feed,  but in River's case no way .  You can still live off daddy's money and he still needs A LOT of work on his game. What nba coach is going to take the time to teach a player how to play the game besides his dad?

Rivers might be the worst defensive player I've ever seen going into the NBA. I don't know how someone that quick on offense can look that slow on defense..... He seriously needs to stay 2 more years to refine his skills. If these players would let coach K build them up for 2-3 years they would have a better nba career in the long run, make more money in the long run, win more awards and games in the long run. I don't understand why a guy like him would leave... it's not about the money obviously his family is loaded I don't get it. You did nothing at Duke what makes you think you will be something in the NBA??? He was benched mid season by the best coach in the world lol..... Stupid stupid stupid. Hopefully daddy puts his foot down and tell austin to stay in school.

amen to that.he doesnt need the money .he is jus big headed thinking he is ready for the nba.why do you think he decommited from florida? he wanted to be the superstar . he could of made duke better by being more unselfish when he drove to the basket and dished off to the big boys. he wont be able to do much in the nba playing like how he did this year.too out of control.
