#1 Posted: 6/13/2012 2:42:21 AM Doug O'Neill, trainer of Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner I'll Have Another, intends to fight his 45-day suspension by the California Horse Racing Board, according to a report Tuesday on the Daily Racing Form's website.
"I'll fight it until I can't fight it anymore,'' O'Neill said.
The penalty was assessed May 24 for an excess level of total carbon dioxide found in Argenta after a race at Del Mar in August 2010. The ban is not scheduled to begin until July 1 at the earliest.
Lets follow where drug o'neill goes from here......... |

#5 Posted: 6/15/2012 10:47:39 PM I mean come on . Take a look at R Dutrow in NY he is appealing a 10 yr suspension but in the mean time they let him run ,claim bet and keep winning. You think this man is gonna fly straight before his suspension starts or win with anything he can .They should not be able to be near a barn untill their appeal comes up.They get lawyers and postpone all hearing dates and continue to run for 2 more yrs by then he destroyed all these horses . All about the Dollar

#6 Posted: 6/15/2012 10:52:48 PM Hate to say it but with NY racing especially winter racing you dont even need a form well let me rephrase that all you need a form for is to see if it is 1st time off a claim in certain trainers barn . You automatically add 10 - 15 pts to their speed rating AMAZING

Johnyg7 Thats exactly what I am saying Ness tore up Tampa bay downs I met his assistant a few times and I would tease her.She started by trying to tell me he just knows how to place his horses .I laughed at her Told her I have some years on you dont insult me and we became where we would talk after that .Rudy Rodriguez worked at the snack bar for years Dutrow slept at his barn or car Jacobsen dont know how he started but you had Mark Schuman ,Frank Passero.Gary Contessa Scott Lake Engleharts but some get caught and now lay low Honestly if you were Dutrow with a 10 yr suspension on hold would you stop or win anything thats out there. I dont know about you but I would be double juicing .I have nothing to lose Plus they dont lose they set some other schmuck up to take orders from him and he probably still runs the barn from the coffee shop. I seen so much garbage on the backstretch from track detectives to clockers to urine samples. One of my friends who I grew up with started out as a groundsman and now is a top man but every year their xmas bonus is a bomb(good payig horse ) so that tells me the whole NYRA was involved I must say this is going back with the Clockers. Detectives,Urines and groundsman over 10 yrs ago I recently ran into Zitos asst and he swears one of the biggest crooks in this game with his own personal VET is T Pletcher I said he was crazy look at his stock 200 thou and if its no good they can afford to run him for 25,000 and get rid of him but he said wait you will see one day Well I am waiting for that day I dont believe it. Then again I think it was Jones(might not have been him ) from out west that said an honest trainer cant survive in this game anymore we just cant compete . Botom line is the Owners want to win and will be loyal for only so long

#9 Posted: 6/18/2012 11:30:06 PM I read all trainers except a trainer named breen or creen not sure, was the only trainer in the belmont never suspended or fined
The positives for dermorphin were first reported by NOLA.com, a New Orleans news site. According to the report, the horses that have tested positive include a mix of Quarter Horses and Thoroughbreds, racing at Delta Downs, Evangeline Downs, and Louisiana Downs.......
dermorphin
“It’s far more potent than morphine,” Barker said.
There’s no legitimate use for dermorphin in racing, he said. “This drug in horses is an abuse of the horse,” he said. “This puts the horse’s life in danger. It puts the jockey’s life in danger. This is an attempt to cheat. This is bad stuff. This is doping.”

#10 Posted: 6/20/2012 11:20:40 AM Skoda Stuff like that is to slow the horse down .Make him Lazy and not run right till the day they want the horse to run. One of the oldest tricks was putting rags .cotton etc... up the horses nostrils to cut off the breathing . T hey would lead by 2-3 till top of stretch and lose by 20 After 2-3x you (us) would say he is a donkey and then next time nothing up his Nostrils he /she can breath and they dont stop they look like a champ and here we are scratching our heads

#13 Posted: 6/26/2012 9:58:50 PM A trainer at Hollywood Park found a sponge in a horse's nose, about a week after three horses were discovered to have sponges in their noses at Santa Anita.
Trainer Pico Pedermo told the Daily Racing Form that he discovered a sponge in one of Yukon Charley's nostrils a week after the horse ran third in a race on Oct. 4 at Santa Anita. Yukon Charley is stabled at Hollywood Park and was vanned to Santa Anita for the race.
A small sponge was found high up in one of the nostrils of Maren's Meadow, owned by Sandra Rasmussen of Des Moines, after an Oct. 16 race.
Sponging compromises a horse's breathing and Maren's Meadow finished third, despite being the 9-10 favorite |

#16 Posted: 7/2/2012 12:25:07 AM An old racetrack axiom is that time only counts in jail. However, 2:30 2/5 suggests that a healthy I'll Have Another would have beaten Union Rags and Paynter by daylight in da Belmont |
