#127 Posted: 10/3/2011 12:42:26 PM I lost my license for 2 years after my 2nd DUI a few years back. However before I went to court I went to a differnent state that I have relatives in and got a license from that DMV.
When it came time for court the judge gave me 2 years loss of license, fines, etc similar to Hollywoods. I have been using the out of state license ever since. Even got pulled over and it came back clean. Heres to beating the system |

In Canada they have like some kind of gypsy at the courthouse who accuses people before they even do anything.

my boy did the same thing and we got pulled over in MA(the state he lost it in) and he flashed his FL license and he promptly got the braclets thrown on so either whoever pulled you over is a retard or your making up stories. |

#131 Posted: 10/8/2011 11:14:23 PM assuming you got pulled over in the state you lost it in. out of state the suspension holds no validity |

#132 Posted: 10/9/2011 10:24:37 AM Fight it, get a good lawyer you will be fine. Drinking and driving laws are complicated and the correct procedures have to be followed or they are thrown out or settled out of court as some type of moving violations(traffic tickets). The law is this way so lawyers and judges can get off when they do. Moral of the story take cabs any day you start drinking at noon no matter how long your nap is. Cheers gl |

Last night started drinking noonish came home at 4 kinda drunk. Napped from 5-10 , got up felt great my friends asked for a ride to their dorm I gave them one. On way back I got pulled over and after passing field sobriety tests I got asked to breathalyzer I figured I was fine and blew a .11, the limits .08
If people respond to this, Ill explain a little more but Ive talked to some lawyers and the cops made a pretty big mistake that "i think" could change this whole case.
Basically what I want to know is do we think im legit facing jail time. I dont have any other bad history and understand ill probaly lose my license for some time, fines, etc but I dont want to go to jail. It was just a pullover arrest it wasnt an accident or etc.

Correct it was not in the state I got the DUI in. Legally I could drive in 49 states without a problem. I actually got lucky as I started a new job in a different state and did not have to drive in the state i got the DUI in. |

#136 Posted: 10/10/2011 3:49:01 PM You're gonna get a year in county and have a friendly roomie named Bubba. Bring a toothbrush and a Costco-sized tub of lube. You'll need it. |
