I generally prefer restaurants that have chefs and menus, not corporate mandated concoctions thrown together in mass by anyone that can read a recipe card.

My first high-end steakhouse was Ruths Chris, and that was the only time I've ever gone. I still think it's at the top of the list of my favorite restaurants.

Not a fan at ALL. I thought it was decent until I went to Jack Stack in KC.
When I want good food, I go to the food network website and look up where "Diner's, Drive Ins, and Dives" has gone locally.
Never even knew this place existed until I saw it on TV. These are the joints you need to frequent if you want authentic food:
