pirate D playing at a higher level of late, a desire to control the game by running the ball and a cool , damp day, along with the jitters of championship game keep this UNDER the posted total, have noted this number has dropped to 69 in most spot so get on board sooner rather than later- thoughts and comments always welcome

Like over just for those circumstances was handicapping it last week and willing to play it up to 74. Houston dosent know how to run and ecu better pass if it wants to win game. i see somewhere between 80 to 90 pts in this game its not the sec where u get a touchdown and hang on.Yes pirate d playing better but not like the # 1 offense in the last 5yrs. Houston scores more pts in 1 game then cleveland browns does in 17gms

If Houston doesn't know how to run, neither does ECU.  Because the teams are within 120 rushing yards of each other on the year.  ECU's 1794 to Houston's 1676.

Exactly that ranks pretty far down on the list of rushing stats? ECU back ranked 50th? Houstons back ranked ? Another angle on this gm ECU gives up an average of 370yds per game thats high that tells me there prone to big plays not rushing tds!

It's not that Houston can't run, they average 4.6 yards per carry which is #3 in CUSA.  Why exactly though, would you frequently want to take the ball out of the hands of a Heisman candidate?

ECU on the other hand BETTER be able to run the ball.  If they put the ball in Pinkney's hands (who sucks), it's going to be a long afternoon.  Houston has a pretty serviceable secondary.  They've given up the second least amount of passing yards in CUSA, and Brinkley is a ball hawk.

See your point but when it comes to rushing in CUSA can only take it with grain of salt.I think Pinkney will be able to pass on Houston early and often and that will set up ther ground game

Pinkney hasn't been able to pass "early and often" on anyone all year.  Why would he be able to do it against the #2 defense against the pass in CUSA?

dropping to 68.5 around most spots is pleasing, would imagine we would see a pop prior to kickoff as well

the CUSA East defense always holds the CUSA west teams offense in check...look at the numbers when they play eachother...a perfect example is UCF against HOUSTON...

houston got pounded because they played someone with some defense....plus its gonna be COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Houston and Under don't go together I will stay away.

It's like Golden State and unders you know you will get screwed because they want to run up the score and they try all that hard on defense.

agree to a point kuddish,,,this one is as much as a hunch play as anything as lots of trends would lead towards an over play,,Pirate D will rise up on a cold chilly day

It's suppose to rain all game as well- another factor that could be dropping the #

This is the same # when Houston traveled to Miss St and I believe houston ended up winning 31-24.

Don't know if it will be that low, but I could see a 34-28 type of game for sure.. with UH winning of course

yeah either OVER or no play with Houston involved....

as for rain... past indicated that tends to help scoring, not hurt it
