'm well aware those breaks go both ways because I got one when a QB started for Minnesota who hadn't played a meaningful game in over a year. That was an equally pathetic performance of which my account was the beneficiary. Who knows how either game would have played out had Ponder and Griffin remained healthy. Those are the games in sports I call "flips" and went 1-1 as expected. Being realistic in both fronts.
Let's hope next week is not only profitable but also entertaining. There was a lot of ugly football this weekend.
ne_pats - Haven't looked it the games much yet. I know I said I loved the situation for Atlanta a few days ago but this is the absolute worst case scenario matchup for them. Hard not to take Seattle here based on the matchup but we'll see.
Agreed..love the situation Atlanta is in but matchup wise it is beyond brutal. You have the best corner combo in the NFL playing against an offense that relies on primarily 2 receivers. Gonzalez is a beast but it's not gonna be easy if the WR's are shutdown. Seattle's weakness as we saw today is the run. However Turner is beyond brutal and they have no run game to speak of. Clemons out is pretty big though as he's a elite pass rusher.
Kind of like my Pats next week, Belly is reminding them what happens when you take an opponent lightly in the rematch (stomped Jets on MNF then lose SU in playoffs couple years ago). Unless Wade Phillips completely changes his defensive scheme, their defense will get eaten up again. He will need to do some creative stuff to disrupt this Pats offense. Everyone is shitting on the Pats D but they have greatly improved as the season has went on and are playing with some swagger. If the Texans fall behind it's another rout.
Lean Balty, think they're a live dog but if they don't get pressure on Peyton their secondary will get eaten up. Should be a good game to cap.
GB/SF is really tough, no feel yet.
Tough loss on the Skins...looked like they were gonna roll till RG got hurt.
