CANISIUS +5.5 = Canisius has been thriving as a ATS +DOG all year, and don’t see how they can stop here getting 5.5 -vs- a Detroit team who hasn’t lost @ home this year with an AVG margin of victory of 6pts (when line is posted). Detroit was unable to travel to Temple a couple days ago, so they’ve had a couple off days in between before this matchup for the Golden Griffs… these same Golden Griffs who beat Temple, @ TEMPLE, by 10 pts back on 12/19. Senios Guard, Issac Sosa, has been draining 3's of late. He’s hit 24 his L5 games. Shooting 53% L7 games. Can’t forget about junior G Billy Baron who is making a play for the #MAAC player of the year. He sparked this club past Temple, and if these 2 guards are in their groove, I think that’ll be enough to cover the 5.5 - maybe even pull of the upset road win straight up. If the fact Detroit hasn’t lost @ home this year might scare ya off the play… don’t let it. Temple was undefeated @ home as well before Canisius beat up on them. Canisius is the team/my team to beat in the #MAAC this year.
Illinois State -3.5 = I’ll start off by saying that this line is a bit odd to me, with the ILL State Redbirds only being favored by 2 buckets. Indiana State just got back from Hawaii the other day where they were held under 60 their last 2 games there after putting up 80+ in an upset win over Ole Miss. A clear sign of fatigue – they do, however, get a couple days off to regroup from the Pacific Ocean jetlag. But how will that settle once they take the court -vs- an Illinois State team who’s been on an 8 day break, with no oceans involved. Illinois State has had 1 poor outing all year -vs- Wyoming a few weeks back. Besides that, they’ve been pretty stellar with a few 80+ games and winning ATS. I don’t think Indiana State will have an answer to stop F Jackie Carmichael, who’s been in Beast Mode of late. Just to note > last time Illinois State had 7+ days off, they faced Louisville back in November and controlled the whole game until the last couple minutes, lost by 3 being 12pt +DOGS.
There you have it for the [2U] plays - hopefully we can keep the beast off the leash. Keep rollin’.
