Red Wolves -3.5 over 61
Red Wolves made 2 bowl appearences and came up short in both of them. They finally kick the door down. Kent does not fare well in non-conference games. Wolves haven't lost since September, don't see it happening here.
Arkansas St - Over Maybe godaddy Danica will present the trophy to the winners |

#6 Posted: 1/2/2013 9:01:06 AM Don't see why Ark should even be favored....Kent kicked Ohio which throttled UL Monroe.....and hung with N Ill which gave one of the bravest performances ever against FSU...............does Ark St have 320 pound offensive linemen????

#9 Posted: 1/4/2013 2:08:38 AM Kent State has scored in the 30's and 40's in most of their games. Ark St has scored in the 30's, 40's, and 50's in most of their games.
I see the trend to continue and the winner to score in the low to mid 40's and the loser in the mid to upper 30's. Sounds like I'm doing a weather forecast. haha The bottom line is to take the damn OVER |

#12 Posted: 1/5/2013 1:26:18 PM Red Wolves can explode in any game and I don't see Kent matchin them tit for tat on the scoreboard. The difference is, where Kent will kick a FG, Ark. State scores a TD. Should be a high scoring affair with the Red Wolves covering by 10-14 points. Boom shakalaka! |

#15 Posted: 1/6/2013 12:15:09 AM Arkansas State - 3.5 over Kent State!
Must run with powerhouse Arkansas State, but low Vegas point spread no free gift. Spread probably due to Kent State's 6-1 road record vs. spread, and Arkansas State minus 10 points on defense last 3 road games.
But Red Wolves 6-1 vs. spread last 7 games!
Arkansas State's weapons include QB Ryan Aplin (3129 YDs and 23 TDs), RB David Oku (1056 YDs and 15 TDs) and WR J.D. McKissic, ranked 11th in the entire nation!
And Arkansas now 5-0 vs. Vegas spread last 5 games!
Arkansas minus 3.5 over Kent State!

#21 Posted: 1/6/2013 10:06:03 AM N ILL was outweighed by 60 pounds on the defensive to offensive lines...playing a defense that just attacked their QB, I was proud , much like how a grade school team would hold up to a high school team.

You mean losing 170-0 if they could even finish the game with enough healthy players? Or with a QB with a broken neck and in a coma. That's about what you'd get with 5th graders playing HS varsity team. |

#23 Posted: 1/6/2013 12:49:47 PM At first I was leaning Kent St. because of being motivated due to missing out on a BCS game, but I think N.ILL played Florida St. better that Kent St. would have. Ark St is a faster and stronger team. Gotta go with Ark St. and over

#24 Posted: 1/6/2013 1:53:15 PM As Mickey said to Rocky in 'Rocky II', " ya gotta have speed, greasy, greasy speed" ! Arkie has it in spades ! Kent doesn't. Lot of late money going on Kent. Only 1 pick for me.
