Stanford and UCLA are a pass for me. (FOR ME i.e. not for anyone else- I put money on named chalk vs. lesser competition) Last year, Week 1 was: Mississippi St, Stanford, Florida St, Florida, Texas, etc. just to give you reference.) -don't think they are bad picks, i just shy away from 1st year QB starters (although both UCLA and Stanford have more than enough defensive power to stop the Rice and SJSU)
I do like WVU. Marshall always plays them tough but I think this year will be different. Dana H. is different and I really like the WVU offense/defense vs. lesser competition) -2nd year of Dana H offense -much better Defensive staff -Offense is loaded -Defense will play well enough -If WVU comes out firing, then Marshall will submit.
-Marshall could play as if this is their bowl game.
Anyway, I'm just leaning right now and while I see arguments to both sides... WVU or no play for me.
