If Jersey wins, you shouldn't have a problem getting them scalped, off Stubhub, or EBay, but you'll be paying a premium.
If Rangers win, GL w/ that man.

Right now the cheapest seats in the house for game if it's at MSG are going for about 700 a ticket on stubhub.
My suggestion as a relatively experienced secondary market ticket buyer is for you to wait. MSG doesn't offer season ticket holders extra tickets, all they have the right to is first dibs on their own seats at whatever face price is set at. So that realistically leaves you with the secondary market as your only shot.
Like I said, right now the tickets online are absurdly priced, as they were two weeks before the ECF as well. From my experience, you're best off waiting until the series is actually set in stone, then wait til gameday and buy tickets on Stubhub. You won't find any steals since it's the cup finals, but if you look through all the sections in the arena chances are you'll find somebody selling tickets day of the game as a perishable item (seller keeps lowering his price until the very last moment because he finds out the day before or day of that he can't make it to the game due to schedule concerns).
Just to prove the contrast, go on Stubhub right now and compare the prices by section for tonight's game 5 and a hypothetical game 7. Granted, game 7 will be more expensive than the prices of today's game, but they'll DEFINITELY drop right around this time of day the day of the game. Just my two cents, it's your best shot at finding a "reasonable" ticket.

Excellent advice and much appreciated Raems.
Was planning on using that as a last stitch effort. Just not sure if I would come out to NY without tix. May stay in LA and catch a game if I can't get tix before hand.

USC - First off...
Now to the tix... You can scope out Stubhub NOW and see if there are any seats available from STH's (season ticket holders). If you make a purchase for a game that is not played (team eliminated) then you just get your money back. StubHub is good with that. I sold World Series tixs once and had to take the tickets back because the A's lost the 2nd round.
Some people that list then NOW on StubHub already know they don't want to go and sometimes you can land a good deal... but I agree with raems... the best prices are closer to gametime BUT there are also less inventory to choose from at that time so It's up to you to decide.
I wish I could attend one of these upcoming games however that is not possible. I'm in the SF Bay Area and looked into Kings season tickets two years ago but decided against them because I can't go if I fail to sell them for a game... to far away. I still have the offer mailing they sent to me for this season... NOW of course I could kick myself since they are in the SCFinals... Oh Well... I'll watch on TV.
Good Luck and have fun USCDieHard...
LET'S GO KINGS...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
