#8 Posted: 4/29/2012 10:35:34 AM You, sir, are severly fucked in the head. Are you kidding? Do you think they shelled out all those first rounders just so they could wait on Cousins? |

#12 Posted: 4/29/2012 5:16:27 PM Cousins will never be a starting qb in this league (doesnt mean he will never start, just wont be prolonged).

#14 Posted: 4/29/2012 11:24:51 PM Right now Cousins is by far a better pro style QB. But RG3 is a way better talent. Washington and most people are convinced RG3 is the real deal after Cam Newton, but Newton is special and not the future of the NFL (as in this style of play will not be the future of qbs, very few will succeed). Washington just covered there behind at the exspense of controversy. But too funny how some of you can laugh at the first post. You people obviously dont watch a whole lot of NFL football. Stick to college. |

There's obviously a reason why Shanahan traded two future first rounders and a second rounder for this guy, he's a head and shoulders above Cousins at this point. Shanahan chose this guy for value, nothing more nothing less. A projected 2nd/3rd round pick qb dropping down to the 4th round is too enticing. It should be a good battle for the backup position between Cousins and Grossman

Newton had one of the top 5 rookie seasons for a QB in history.
Do you mean RG3 is not the future of QB's? If he learns like Vick and Newton to use his legs sparingly and to help him THROW, he will be just fine. If he wants to tuck and run every time he gets pressure, he won't. |

#18 Posted: 4/30/2012 8:25:54 PM that only goes down if rg3 suffers a broken bone of some sort. cousins has some good records at msu but in all reality that's like being the valedictorian of a school for the blind and deaf |

All re-treads. RG3 was the 2nd player in the draft. You can say you think they blew it, but to use the above as an example to prove your point? |

Well they were retreads, but RG3 is a rookie. Now how the f do you put your franchise on a rookie that hasn't played a down in the NFL. Everyone knows the first year is usually brutal for QBs, unless you're Cam Newton.
And then they go on and pick ANOTHER rookie.
They desperately need players at the meat-and-potatoes positions, especially offensive line. There's no guarantee RG3 survives if he's getting rushed.
But the Redskins aren't a meat-and-potatoes team. Always a savior, every year. Last year it was Mike Shanahan coming to the rescue. On and on and on....

#25 Posted: 5/21/2012 6:34:47 PM My opinion is this. And I really believe this.
After this year, people are going to see that Cam Newton really is special and great. I hope Luck and Rg3 and all the QB's well, but I think people are going to have a new found respect after 2012 for Cam Newton. |
