#3 Posted: 9/4/2012 8:55:04 PM The Panthers trading for lou is the reason for this potential lockout. Teams with no fkn money trying to buy players that they cant afford. Then they go to napoleon crying about how things are unfair in the national joke league. Hello the Wild, Devils, Preds, Carolina, Pitt,Tampa etc. At least the Jackets realize they have no money and dumped nash the traitor. Btw FUKK the leafs |

Actually Florida trading for Lou makes sense in the fact that Lou will likely retire in 3 years or so and that contract will count against the cap for the remaining whatever years making the salary cap floor more manageable. |

#7 Posted: 9/6/2012 12:08:44 PM Florida has their goalies so why do they take on Lu debt? He will stay in Van city until Burkie makes him an offer to come and play with the Laughs.......Eddie Lack in the A for another yr and lou gets one more yr. in Van for another shot. This yr. is a write off anyway so just looking ahead... |

#8 Posted: 9/6/2012 8:58:24 PM If you write this season off a number of goaltenders contracts expire in 2013, including Jose Theodore, I think Jimmy Howard becomes a ufa as well, them Red Wings have a history of bringing in older goaltenders. |

#9 Posted: 9/6/2012 9:11:21 PM garbage there's 10 years left at 5.33 mil cap hit each year, he's 33 years old, on top of that his best years are behind him, I don't see many teams lining up to put that noose around their neck. If i was a Leaf backer I would be pissed if they traded for this dud.

#11 Posted: 9/7/2012 10:36:23 AM Lou is a class act for stepping aside for Schneids,,,anyways if the season is wiped out Florida might make sense for both sides, Theodore will be a ufa and Lou's cap hit after he retires means nothing to a team who's budget will be closer to the cap floor than the ceiling. |

#12 Posted: 9/7/2012 4:22:35 PM Lou is a class act, the amount of garbage he has had to put up with from the Van city fans and Media. Who knows what we get out of Hockey this year but as of today he is back in Van City to get ready for the season. As a Nuck fan, I like to have 2 great goalies. Seems like Fla would be best for him in a market where he can play his game without being under the scope night after night..... |
