#3 Posted: 2/4/2012 6:18:39 PM going thru other YouTubes of the movie. I guess it IS a "prequel" to the original "Alien". that makes it even MORE interesting to me. the original is STILL the most suspenseful movie I have ever seen. |

#5 Posted: 3/22/2012 3:01:23 PM I watched the trailer of Promethus(sp) and that spaceship is the type that was crashed in the beginning of Alien and was attributed in the credits to Space Jockey. I saw nothing in trailer that looked like Alien or SpaceJockey. |

#8 Posted: 3/23/2012 10:44:43 AM Looks pretty badass. With the title, I was expecting a Greek history drama or some garbage. Which would have been ok, but now that I see it's a Alien type movie I'm excited. |

#13 Posted: 3/27/2012 2:27:56 PM you like Alien-Aliens style movies, check out Pandorum (2009). excellent sci-fi science fiction thriller with pretty much non-stop action and some wild "plot twists". stars Dennis Quaid, Ben Foster (character of Steve McKenna in the Jason Statham re-make of The Mechanic) and German actress Antje Traue, who was very good as a "Ripley" style character.
only complaint I had with the movie is they were very "arty-smarty" with the sound recording and the dialog was hard to understand at times. it's been on some of the premium movie channels recently.
highly recommend |

Is there any info that this is an Aliens prequel, or is that what you are guesstimating from the previews? |

mostly speculation saw some shots of "Space Jockey's" spaceship from the original Alien tha carried the "Face Jumper" eegs in the trailers and I thought i saw some early form of "face jumper"
the Wiki page says "Conceived as a prequel to Scott's 1979 science fiction horror film Alien, rewrites of Spaihts's script by Lindelof developed a separate story that precedes the events of Alien, but which is not directly connected to the films in the Alien franchise.
in any case, IF it's half as good as most any of the Alien movies, and esp the 1st two, it will be EXCELLENT. |

#17 Posted: 3/27/2012 10:45:17 PM here's another Alternative Prometheus Trailer marked "Alien Prequel" which starts with scenes from the origianl Alien thry the 53 second mark. it then shows numerous "Space Jockey" ships and a container with what looks to be possably an early "facehugger" >>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLXaOuCc3V8&feature=related
in another video, Rifley Scott states that although there are ties to Alien, there won't be any "face huggers" jumping on people, "chest busters" popping out or alien "zenomorphs" running amok. seems to be more "were the Space Jockeys the Ancient Aliens?" and "did they develope the alien zenomorph as some bioweapon to clean up any 'evolution experiment' they thought didn't work"? |
